Spot on. I just want to share my experience with my daily, a 92 accord, currently 154k on the clock. No idea if the fluid had ever been changed before, so I did a regular change on the 4 speed auto at around 130k. 3rd to 4th definitely smoother, but every other shift is about the same as it was 45,000 miles ago when I got it. Had I done a flush, it probably wouldn't have turned out the same. Also, I beat on it unapologetically. 6k rpm every day 😅
My car has abt 220k miles on it, (2008 G35) my transmission shifts good.but I don't think the previous owner has ever changed the fluid, most ppl told me to not get a transmission fluid change so I wanted to ask if changing the transmission fluid now is a good idea?
A flush is bad if you haven't been maintaining your transmission and it's starting to have problems...check. But if you've been maintaining your transmission properly all along, _a flush doesn't do anything better._ So, there's never any good reason to get a flush. It might hurt you or it might not not hurt you, but won't ever do anything any better than doing proper changes all along. Mathematically, if a drain-and-fill empties half the total volume, three drain-and-fills will change over 90% of the total volume, and if you do it yourself it will be cheaper than a flush. But again, even that's not a problem if you've been doing drain-and-fills regularly from Day One. That would be something to consider if you've bought a used car that already has 100K miles and no evidence of the fluid having been changed before.
Short videos that get to the point, give you the information you need and then off to another one.

Good info on that controversial long argued issue... best I've ever come across.
Great advice!

Dont agree with a maintenance flush. Regular changes only every 35 to 40k
