First time I was ashamed to be a Canadian. I am so sorry my people did this. I will never forget.
I am a indigenous girl living in Canada, and my granny went to residential school and I’m so lucky she’s still alive today.
Damn I cant imagine what they did to her
This is my story here in Canada but I was Figure Skater for nine years... I'm glad people can start to see now.
Just watched this movie and this little dude as Saul was the best Saul.
My paternal great grandma and her brother Bill both walked home at 5 yrs old from a Residential School. We call them Missionary Boarding School where they walked over 120 miles over mountains to arrive back home...😧☝️🙏🔥🔑💕
i am glad they escaped that horror.
Sad but powerful Movie
Sad I cried so so sad omg I was so sad
I was on sladen’s hockey team in little NHL
All the best - Hope you make it Big!!! I love Natives :)
Was he Good? Looks like the kid can skate.
My dad went to a residential school. Every now and then things bring back memories for him and then he tell me or my siblings about some of his experiences there. He over came what had happened to him but it just little things that always trigger and bring back memories. The stories he tells always make my eyes water. I can’t even imagine being taking away from my mom and dad and put through what the people who went to the residential went through. Sooo sad 😞 😢
Chris Summer my kokum went to a residential school also mu mushum.
Sladen is in my class its so weird to see him getting interviewed
Amazing 👏 want more stories, please! My respects to you! So heartbroken 💔
Outstanding performance. He is a star. Hope he continues in bigger roles
My heart goes out to these beautiful people who suffered at the hands of the government and the church!
So no ones going talk about what the priest did to the kid 🤬😡
Nathan Castelan it’s terrible 😤
most of the movie i was afraid he was going to be "the white savior" but no, hell no. and of course the priest gets sent to Africa to continue to abuse helpless children. hypocritical catholics, smdh.
My uncle is in the movie background
I understand the anger of the indigenous people in Canada. My thinking. "PUNISH THEM WITH YOUR SUCCESS" Also it will be nice to hear success stories out of the Residential School system.i am sure there are
