Fun facts about Burn, it does damage related to the amount of health the person affected by the status element has, and the effect can only bring those same people to 1 hp but never causes a KO
One of the three ways to do the quest, maybe with a bit of dizziness and freezes in case they didn't turn into Seedles. Protectus & Notdroppin is less luck-based if you didn't leave them till the end, but the true skilled way is to dodge all of their attacks.
This makes us regret not using Seedle-ize on those level 100 Bob-ombs. That seemed way easier than having to dodge their attacks. And hey, I see someone else had a ton of trouble with Monster Mania level 5 too. God those respawning Helmet Zok Troopers are annoying...
It is absurd to me that there's a way to beat those bob-ombs that isn't the extremely complicated strategy I came up with where I use extremely specific defensive plugs at extremely specific turns.
Glohm pipegunk is a pain mainly because of the fact you get 1 turn to do the luigi logic, else got wait another round of turns of pipegunk's mass heal and tricky move. I kid you not I was in a stalemate that I loss because mario was either glohmed or down on the one turn I could do luigi logic.
I remember the Bowser fight in BiS being the first boss in that game that I didn't die to. I also forgot to save before. Ironically that experience made me waaaay better at the game
Protectus, Anti-Minion, Kaboom Attack, and Surprise Iron Ball x 2 was the setup I had for Monster Mania Level 4. Keeps you from being insta-killed and keeps all the EXP and coins you would get unlike with Seedle-ize, especially if you don’t get any Gold Seedles. Funny how they knew players would try to use Boo Biscuits though to try and get the Bob-Ombs to eliminate themselves so they’re locked out, yet Protectus which pretty much does the same thing only giving the Bros. their turns is OK.
That Monster Mania 5 is quite a nightmare without the right stuff. To beat it, I basically just got rid of their helmets, then used Countdown to Crush to instantly defeat them. Feels like that might be the intended method, actually. You might notice that the Monster Mania quests are more like puzzles than actual battles. Many of them seem to have a specific solution that calls for the use of certain Battle Plugs. Also, yeah, I figured Glohm Pipegunk would take you some attempts. I personally think it's probably the hardest boss in the game. The fire form in particular often gives me trouble.
Info about "waitaminit". Most consider it this game's "duplex crown, but it's really weird. Waitaminit's extra turn still counts as a turn for certain things. You cannot extend boss stuns because they stay stunned for x moves, not turns, so after 3 moves in pipegunk's case, he'll wake no matter what and take a turn. This is also bypassed by counter attacks from glohm enemies. Thus, generally, it's better to use it as a free heal in the heat of the battle, at least imo
@MadJohn-w7e in exchange of not being equipment, fair, but the game never explains this so it feels cheap when it doesnt work like common sense would dictate
@@javierascanio4309 for me it's more that the game doesn't tell you a lot of things about the plugs, but wants you to figure most of it out on your own. Biggest example about that being the plug combinations. So for me it's just a specific thing that I myself had to figure out, without being told so. I think that's kinda cool. I can get the frustration with this specific example though. I just didn't mind it, at all
Glohm Pipegunk was by far the hardest experience i had with this game. Maybe even in the series (but I'm not sure about that, because i used to suck at these games). I wasn't even that underlevelt. I just didn't know that (with Luigi Logic) you could switch to the ice or fire area to stunn him. I always just went to the normal area. With all that, this fight took me 1h, I'm not even kidding. Just makes me want a boss arena, with a secret boss at the end even more...
It didn't take me long to do the Bob-Ombs Monster thing, but I did do the intended strat of having them take each other out My problem is the usual "beat them all at the same time" boss 'cause it's a miserable experience I can't believe they put 3 of these in the game

So that’s why the curl up took 10k dmg
Does that also count for Mario and Luigi?
@MadJohn-w7e yes
@@newerboomerangmiaro7778 thx

It takes skill to just dodge?

28:15 Wiki just says it's a dark-colored lookalike, my theory is that Pipegunk just created a clone of Shun
41:03 U need the 15 Turned Bomb
I mean clearly not since I beat it without haha
34:22 36:50 same here, this exactly happened to me when I was stuck fighting bosses like Hospital Bowser, Wisdurm, Junker, and Pi'llodium
I remember the Bowser fight in BiS being the first boss in that game that I didn't die to. I also forgot to save before. Ironically that experience made me waaaay better at the game
There were definitely some people lost who were standing near the edge of the water before their island flew into the sky unexpectedly
46:41 “Maybe it’ll be the finale” oh no, no one expects the DOUBLE final boss fake out!

Oh yeah, that's a really good idea!
Good video!!! And me I was fighting for 20 minutes straight... It was as easy as putting the fire plug in
40:29 I felt so smart for figuring that out on my own, but now i feel slightly less smart
Hope you enjoy Astro Bot!
I didn't restrict myself like you did, so I just used Notdroppin and Protectus for the bob-ombs.
Ohhh true!
At some point id love to fight these guys at level 100, but its such a grind, my current highest level I've gotten to in the game is level 70
Btw 9:51 there's a secret relating to that 10 coin if you stay on the conveyor
Oh interesting, didn't end up finding that.

Makes it slightly less op, so I think that's good

@MadJohn-w7e Fair enough! i like the game not explaining everything, just this scenario sucks lol
plus cant experiment much with a 3 charge plug
@@javierascanio4309 I can understand that
Let me guess. Seedle-ize.
My bet is on Protectus/Charge Bank

As for that alternative, I have bad news for you...
I won't say what it is since it's a spoiler, but it's bad news
