If you are choosing a large sized variety, go for brick pieces and garden soil, if you are choosing a smaller sized rosette bromeliad go for coco peat and small brick pieces… choose pot size accordingly it will help anchor well and keep the plant vertical.
Before, when I poured guzmania into the tank water, but I didn't add soil at all, when I needed to separate the young plants around it, they said that it was too dry and that its roots were bad, so I'm interested in whether it needs a little soil in a month to water....Thank you for your answer, I love flowers but I don't understand each other very well, what suits him so that it doesn't go to waste...
You need only pure water in the leaves tank, no soil at all in the leaves … the guzmania root fibres will grow around the soil. So the soil can be wood bark pieces or even small porous brick pieces … just don’t let it soak in water all time.. too much water around the bottom of the plant will make it rot. Hope it helps.
