- Fraudsters can create and post adverts for fake businesses on Google “within hours”, according to a Which? investigation.
News of its findings comes weeks after the Advertising Standards Authority announced it was launching a UK “scam ad alert” system in partnership with platforms including Facebook and Google, “to help tackle bogus ads”.
Which? created two linked fake companies - a water brand named Remedii that “can help you lose weight [and] improve your mood”, and an online service offering “pseudo health and hydration advice” called Natural Hydration.
The consumer body said Google only required users to have a Gmail account to create adverts and that, while it did review those that were submitted, it did not verify whether the business existed or was legitimate, nor ask for proof of ID.
In less than an hour, the ads Which? created for both fake businesses were approved by Google. They racked up nearly 100,000 impressions in a month. The fake ad for Natural Hydration appeared above the official NHS Scotland pages when users searched for “hydration advice”

No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google. Beware of SEOs that claim to guarantee rankings, allege a "special relationship" with Google, or advertise a "priority submit" to Google.

I just want to correct one thing in the video, That Google Ads (PPC) and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) both are completely different things, You have said correctly that Google ads is the part where you see "Ad" on search result is running a Google Ads, but it not Search engine optimization.
SEO results are those which are shown where "Ad" is not written/displayed right next to the search results.

सर मेरा फ्रेंड मेरे अकाउंट पर पैसे मंगाया था और बोला की हमको निकाल के दे देना तो सर हम तुरंत पैसे को एटीएम से निकलकर दे दिए उसके बाद सर मेरे अकाउंट में no debit लगा दिया गया है ब्रांच से contect करने पर बोले की regulatory notice के कारण अकाउंट को freeze कर दिया गया है और एक ack no दिए और बोले की cyber cell से कॉन्टेक्ट करो। तो please sir help me अब क्या करें

A slight correction needed, first the ad thing called ppc not search engine optimization and second thing the activity these fraudster are doing that's call blackhat seo, in which people create pages in high authority website to rank on certain queries on google search engine result page. Overall very helpful video for people who don't have good internal literacy. Hat's off to Police department for explaining such minute things to the common people.
By the way, its not a black hat. The fraudsters simply took help of PPC ads to do fraud.
