  • Learn how to use a pressure-temperature wall chart, pocket chart, or SMART Pro/R app. We will illustrate how pressure and temperature measurements from a refrigeration unit may be useful for system analysis. The purpose of this video is to not only demonstrate the proper use of the pressure-temperature relationship, but to also illustrate how it can be used to thoroughly analyze a refrigeration or air conditioning system.

So is the dew point the temperature of the evaporator? I thought that the bubble point would be, because it’s boiling at the evaporator.

Which instrument used to measure actual temp of refrigerant inside cu piping? ie leaving condenser & evaporator temp.

What if I insulated the suction line that goes back to the compressor in my car?
Will this increase the cooling efficiency without harming the compressor?
    Note, I live in a hot area ( 5 C - 55 C degree)

So basically, just compare actual temp to ideal temp from PT chart? Im quite confused why do you need to do subtraction? Does the difference tell us anything. Please enlighten me.
By the way, thank you for sharing your video. Sub

The compressor should get vapor only at suction line for a proper refrigeration cycle. So to be sure that compressor is sucking a superheated vapor we should get the difference, which tells the suction line is getting superheated vapor above its saturation point.

sporlanvideo ok thanks, I was just wondering because I looked into the chill skills online before and thought it maybe wasn’t so much for contractors and more for people who are much newer to the trade.
