NEB had sooo many chances to put the match away in the 4th, but they just couldn’t finish…

@Loubinsa I don't think you'd find many high level coaches that "want" to run a 6-2, but you have to play the cards you are dealt. I can't think of a title going to a team running a 6-2, but it may have happened.

@@Frosticus453 IIRC, Hames was injured at one point in the season and they were running the 6-2 to integrate both of their other setters to take over. But when Hames came back, she wasn't yet 100% so they kept the 6-2 to keep Hames in but not overexert her

@Loubinsa It's possible if Smrek has a miracle playoff like last year! she could do no wrong.

@@brandonmcbride7659 Ya makes sense, I heard Hames was intended to be a DS this year, but the other setters didn't really pan out. Here's hoping something happens in that department for next season because 2 undersized setters don't = one good setter. Either way, you make the best with what you have and in this match Oregon looked like they wanted it more and played way more aggressively both defensively and offensively. They took some huge rips on transition balls and it payed off.

Nebraska setters need to use their hands more often … saw too many times they go for a bump set when they could’ve used their hands

@37:49...Is that Tayyiba Haneef-Park as an assistant coach?! I love her during Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 Olympics! Back then, she was USA National Team's tallest player during 2004/2008 at 6'7-6'8. Great player

I just wish cook would’ve made a sub. At least once. You could see how flustered and overwhelmed ally was getting.
I would’ve loved to say Hayden Play or even Maggie. They could’ve changed the game at any point..imo

You just never know. I was at the Wisconsin - Pen State game and Guctekin, the Wis Libero was having an awful time . She had two service errors and missed a lot of shots and the Pens State servers were targeting her. I was yelling "take her out " then they went into the 5th set and she has some extraordinary shots and they won. I guess that is why I am not the coach.

@@ChairYogaForTheAgeless I would say having in a person whose plays that position is smart... with aly this was her first time playing all around in a very serious match. I didn't feel liek that was a good choice. I respect cook a lot and he can put together a great team. However, he does hae this weird tendency to put his faith in certain players that i never understand.

Looking back at this game, I'm realizing Batenhorst has been the most inconsistent player for the Huskers, she continues to struggle this season. Hopefully Krause is back in the lineup soon. 🙏🏽

GO DUCKS!!!! Mimi Colyer is the best freshman in the entire country, no doubt about it. And Hannah Pukis is an ELITE setter. As for Nebraska... I've never seen a team that complains to the refs about every single call more than they do. They are so entitled, year in and year out. Love that my Ducks sent their asses home

@@zackd2852 Its that they worked hard to get there and lost. I'm sure they've lost several other matches as well, but going to five sets is a lot of pressure and I would be desperate to win too. I'm not sure if I would cry but I would surely be half disappointed but happy because we played good and got there.

It's funny because if Nebraska would have done what Oregon did at 30:45 the announcers would have been praising them for 20 minutes and it would have been all over sportscenter, but since it's not their golden child Nebraska then it's not that impressive I guess.
