In this time of ecological emergency, we act boldly because it is not only our moral duty to protect life but also our sanctioned civil duty. It is enshrined in the law that those who act out of necessity to protect others (e.g breaking down the door of burning buildings to save those inside) are not breaking the law 🕊
To act according to the TRUTH means disrupting business as usual to prevent a greater crime - the destruction of our ecosystems. For some, this means sitting in the road and for others it might mean disrupting major infrastructure such as buildings, tubes, motorways and airports.
Small groups of people can create an incredible amount of disruption which more closely focuses the public’s attention on an issue because they are actually affected by it.
To build pressure on the Government, we need more brave rebels who are up for high levels of disruption - those who are willing to risk short periods in prison and even prison sentences. We have a fantastic team to support rebels on this path.

This guy had the right idea. He got across exactly what the issue is and how we should react. You don’t have to be arrested to be a part of extinction rebellion. What we have to do is stand up for what is right.

I would ask those police mans and womens (soldiers and others...) if there are some days when they feel ashamed being merely instruments, tools, just like a screwdriver or any other tool.
I think this is a very good solgan against them: "Mr. instrument!" or "Mr. screwdriver!"

In what way is he lying? The man is bravely laying out the facts that corporations and government are at best mentioning but doing next to no actions because it is a lot easier to do nothing.

A smartphone is about 80KG of emissions. That the same as 500g of steak (two big ones, 5 burgers), or commuting 20 miles for a fortnight, or heating a typical UK house for a week, or getting a very short flight (London->Bristol), Or getting a long return train ride across Europe (London->Zagreb and back).
So really your phone is probably not a particularly large source of emissions for most people. Most people are very vague about which things matter: travel, energy, buildings, diet. Everything else is noise.
