I lost my mum when I was 22. My sister couldn't bring herself to go to her graduation and just asked them to send her degree certificate through the post. To this day there's so many things I would loved to have done for her but will never get the chance and it hurts. It's tough. My dad still isn't over losing her and it's been years.

my mom died in her sleep of a heart attack in October 2016, I was 22 years old and she was only 44...my mom was also a single mom with 3 kids, im the oldest so i really had to step up and do best for my lil brothers! but this has definitely 100% been the hardest thing ive ever had to experience hands down.. I think about her every single second every single day.. still almost 2 years later i break down crying thinking about her. I still have those days where I just wanna stay in bed and not leave the house cuz I’m so sad.. NO ONE really understands our pain until they've lost their mother themselves. what keeps me going is my 13 year old little brother! He’s my motivation!!! I wish u nothing the but the best thanks for this video. I love your channel ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Omg this made me cry so much because I have 4 little siblings and I know 1000% I would step up for them and it’s a hard job but the loss of a parent is just horrific, I don’t think I could get over it. I was bloody crying over my cat we gave away, every morning for whole year I kid you not, bawling my eyes out. I’ve never experienced a close death and I’m honestly scared for myself because I cannot handle stuff like that. I’d probably end my own life to be honest.

Someone actually told me to come to your channel and watch this video cuz i told them my story and they said it sounded just like your story sooo My dad died when i was 20 and i was living with him at the time so when he died i basically became homeless at the same time. So not only was i grieving but i was jumping around place to place trying to find a stable place to live. It was literally the worst thing ive EVER gone threw in my life... its been 9 years since that happened and im still not over it. It was devastating girl. Your the first person ive heard that had the same thing have happen to them. Thanks for sharing cuz your story made me feel like im not alone.

Nella this is your testimony. God doesn't give you challenges you cannot overcome. Don't ever feel like life is against you like it's Nella vs the world. You may not feel it but you're blessed. You have overcome so many hurdles at such a young age that you're on the up from now. In 5-10 years time when you're living your dream you'll look back at now with tears of joy wondering how you managed to cope and you will know it was all you (with the help of God). Keep going!

This makes me so sad. I lost my mom at 20. Ten 10 days after my birthday. The worst. To have lost our home where my most precious memories of her, her scent and everything are would have broken me beyond what I had already been broken.
I didn't even get to finish Uni. I was just starting my 2nd year of a 4 year degree when this happened. Went back to Uni a month after the funeral and the grief was beyond me! I tried. 5 years of trying to stick to this and finish what I started and not disappoint myself and others, but I couldn't. I was in such a deep dark place which was not conducive at all . At the end of it, just last year, it came down to my sanity and life or this degree. It was utterly disappointing to make the choice to drop out after such a battle but I can't tell you how better off I have been mentally, emotionally and in all aspects this year. The grief alone was one thing to deal with. Academics on top!? Geesh...Some people cope..Unfortunately not me. I am learning to pick up and move at a pace I can manage. For so long I sought permission and approval to rest or deal with this grief. No one but I could give that

You and I talked about our moms' passing. I don't know if you remember. On Twitter. It is THE worst time that has happened to us. I was like a zombie the first year after my mom passed until I listened to a Jhene Aiko song and your gurl broke down. I didn't want to deal with it at all.
After that, and a few more breakdowns, I began to heal. Till this day, I miss her. I miss knowing that she there. Her laugh. It has been almost 2.5 years now and I am in a lot than I was a year ago.
Nella! I am saying this to you:
That emptiness that no one else understands will gradually be filled up with healing, love, acceptance and time. Your mother is always will you and your brother, Nella. She is proud of the woman you are and are continuing to become. Please, when you feel like crying, CRY! You don't feel like talking to anyone, DON'T!

I then had to figure out how to pay for school and prove that my mom was my mom(because I am adopted w/o papers). File for independence in the states. Girl I went through hell...Thank you for telling your story. (but I am great today lol)

Same honey. My mom died when I was 20. It's been 10 years since and I'm not over it and I miss her everyday. She was a single mother as well, raising myself and my younger brother. Just want to let you know, you don't get over it. That absence will always be felt. But please consider support groups or therapy going forward. It's all still fresh and it's important you get in touch with people that *get it* and/or people who can guide you in the right direction to managing your grief and stress. You can't do it alone. This is a lot to have experienced at your age. We are human. It is A LOT. No shame in acknowledging that.

I've lost my mother and i remember when this boy chat shit about her i almost killed him and i stabed him but he survived and I've got some sort of mentor to keep me on track but I'm alright with that boy but i told him if he were to chat shit again then I'd murder him on my life. I know what it's like and I've been through that pain and i sometimes I wish i were dead so i could see her again but i remember always i should live my life to the fullest and should be proud of where i am . But what else i take to considerate is that stuff like that only makes us strong as an individual and being 15 is hard but I'm living the life and everything i do and when I become successful .
