- Oliver is crazy for toast! Whenever I start making toast, he shows up as my little companion, waiting for the toaster to pop up. Then he makes sure to exact his fair share--we call it the "beagle tax." And at the end, he always finds a way to get a little bit extra.

Love the little experimental lick he gave at the counter (while dad’s toast was in the plate), as though expecting the food - maybe - to hop into his mouth! 💙
I love that moment too--I think it's my favorite part of the video! 😂😂 Oliver is always so hopeful when there's any food around.

Well food has been know to fly sometimes. Through a process of atmospheric levitation, propulsion and then ultimately loss of gravitational hold, it could theoretically fall into his mouth!

I love the way Oliver lies down (briefly) and just stares, waiting for the toast to appear. My beagle Babette does the same. It's nice that we beagle humans never have to wash dishes--or at least they are "pre-washed".
