Classic Choom editing strikes again. I swear they're getting choppier and choppier, some of the more recent Chooms have been really jarring and in some parts almost unwatchable because of too many jumpy cuts and zoomy camera movements together, I feel like earlier Chooms didn't go as ham onthe editing and the watching experience is smoother.
But actually to be fair to Choom, considering it's Kep1, tbh this is not too bad. I think their camerawork guide must have prompted a lot of this kind of editing because a lot of their stages had an annoying amount of random zippy-zoomy camera (more so than usual).
I feel like they were trying to go for the Aespa camera zoomy style, but what works for 4 people can be a bit too much and too distracting when there's 9.
If you watch the Seoul Fashion Show intro stage that Kep1 did you'll understand what I mean; that was probably one of their cleanest live performances from this round of promotions but there's SO MUCH camera movement going on that it's hard to focus on the dance (literal focus - there's a number of times that the camera is moving to fast to focus and it shows when there's no frame you can pause on that is in focus). The zoomy camera is not always a bad thing, but when the choreo itself also has so much going on, it's nicer to have the editing use cuts more sparingly and allow the choreo to shine more rather than just make it confusing to watch.
