Hey silent, do you know anything about tridents disappearing in worlds. I’m on ps4 and every time I load my guardian farm my tridents are gone (I’ve checked everywhere even below the farm). Not sure if you know a fix?
@@flav5361 I have the exact same problem, sometimes mine will glitch down onto the monument, but most the time they are nowhere to be seen. Edit: I’ve also had some glitch inside of blocks and just stay there or even in some underwater caves

I think for early game this is a good start, but if you have the time and resources it is definitely worth it to make the split density design which makes about 11,000 an hour.

For those building on land, do not use tinted glass. Endermen will spawn. Took hours of frustration to figure that out. So if you built it, and see Endermen running around, use silents other roof, or switch out the tinted glass for solid blocks if your walls are solid. Hope that helps anyone who built a community water tower like myself for my server. Have fun!
Mine isn’t over land though and I am still getting the endermen. I can not find anything online as to why this is happening, I am assuming that their heads are inside the tinted glass when they spawn but no confirmation or explanation as to why this would be happening.
@@haydenyqo mobs can spawn with their heads in transparent blocks (like the leaves of trees) but not on the the blocks themselves, ig they get hurt by the water and tp on top of it.
So much loot from this farm. Decent amounts of Bonemeal and gunpowder. Tons of arrow, a multitude of bows. Gold armour, chainmail, iron tools and weapons. Glowstone dust and bottles, even had a potion of speed. And the trident killer never breaks.

Sometimes simpler is better. Extravagant farms are cool and all but require you to be more established in your world. Sometimes we just need farms to get established in our worlds and simple farms do that.
If you are looking for a simple farm dig under ground a 2 high room and dig 30x30 with no torches. Make you a safe room at the end and just run an kill.
Omg silent, this farm is great! I am recently building it, and speaking of which, I'm writing this comment in front of my screen, getting the drops. I only built 2 layers so far and I went to eat a sandwich. By the time I came back, it had already took me from level 29 to 36 and I have 1 and half stacks at least from every typical mob drop. I found that changing the 1st and 3rd repeater to 4 ticks, and leaving the 2nd one on zero ticks, and also having my afk platform at 17 instead if 18 helped the items and exp drop down properly.
I made one small adjustment to this great design, a cow, and a bucket! I have accidentally triggered a couple of raids because of it. Having said that, this is a great design.
I have an idea why rates are horrible sometimes i read or watched ir idk where i learned that there can be only certain amount of mobs spawning in one chunk so i got up and saw bunch of spiders on the floor so my idea that farm is slowing down because theres spiders in one chunk so no other mobs spawning and i think theres a way to fix that if mobs think that coral fans are full block so if you place it just 1 block upper than trident killer spiders will think that its full block and they will not climb up so they will be killed in trident killer i havent tested it yet but it might work I cant write much cuz of word limit: SPIDERS CANT CLIMB CAMPFIRES figure it out yourself.

Yet another W from Silent! I built the bigger split density farm in my old world and was feeling too lazy to build it again in my new world, so this one is absolutely perfect. Only took a couple hours to build.
I might have to try this. For me it seems like the items get clogged up or something. The XP is a constant rain, but I'll get no items for a min or two, then suddenly a bunch fall at once.
7:58 doesn't water form source blocks on top of scaffolding on Bedrock (I haven't played Bedrock, properly, since May but I also don't know if it works on Java either)
@@Icarian_Kotori I mean instead of placing temp. blocks to place the water on, could you not just place the scaffolding and place the water against the wall blocks instead of using temp blocks? And would that water form source blocks so you only have to place a water source from a bucket every second block? And wouldn't ice work the same way, if that is possible le to do?
scaffolding doesn't actually exist, so water can't form sources above it. really weird but super useful 😂 nice catch too, most people will never notice that 👀

you could do a few more but rates probably wouldn't see much of an increase. and youd have to worry about mobs falling to death when they hit the extended pistons

I think I’ve did something wrong I built the trident killer as showed in the video but my items aren’t flowing down they’re just being pushed around by the pistons and nit going through the water

oml bro i accidentily flowed water down the farm and all the coral fans broke so i went down and a creeper blew me up because I had my elytra on so now i have to remake the trident killer

I did try to build this in the sky on a creative world, with the folliwing alterations: 1) I use fall damage + sword for the kill mechanism, because the tridents arn't producing XP on the surver. 2) I used tinted glass instead of leaves. 3) I used trap doors and fence gates instead of coral fans, because they are easyer to get.
I make an elevator with soul sand and water sources to take me up to the afk spot... I made another dry column that has water in the bottom block that I use to jump down
Can someone help me out? This farm works like 70%, but there is constantly stoppage blocking me from getting the full XP and drops. I have to regularly climb back with scaffolding to the on switch to get do that isn’t falling properly. And then when I come back, it’s somehow triggering a bunch of loot to finally fall to the drop spot that wouldn’t fall before. Building on a realm on PS4

Okay, so the first spawn platform is 24 blocks above the AFK platform, and looking on the Wiki, a simulation distance of 4 gives 24-44 blocks for mobs to spawn in, right? The sixth layer you've included in the farm would be the 44th block (I think), does that still let mobs spawn?
It doesn't. If a place is outside the simulation distance then mons won't spawn in it as u know it. U will have to increase the simulation distance of the world if the world before creating it or after if u can.
What are the redstone drops like on this farm? Just curious. Making a redstone shop on the SMP I’m on. No witch huts. Wondered if this would work to supply me with redstone for that?
make sure the trident killer is all built as shown and theres no chunk borders going through the trident killer. if you have chunk borders you'll need to slow it down more

From another comment about 8 sim distance but I think it would be the same, you can make more but it wouldn't really affect rates and may lead to less rates as you would have to worry about mobs falling to death

I'm making the old one, the though part are scaffoldings cause you can't find stings easy, for the other blocks I've used a cobblestone and stone farm, and for the strings I just get them with a sword in the mineshafts, if you find two mineshafts you'll have a total of 4 or 5 stacks of strings, the other half of the farm is gonna be built by the strings farmed in the first half
My farm wasn't spawning anything at first, I built it over a lake but I didn't realize it was technically a river biome. I moved it over land and now it's churning out mobs like crazy. Great farm and great tutorial!!
I like to make my prototype my redstone with stained-glass and smoothstone. (specificly smoothstone, not stone nor cobblestone.) The glass lets me both see in, and collorcode things. The smoothstone makes it easy to measure distances. both help me troubbleshoot.
Work perfectly on the latest version thank you man ! I only built 3 layer and it work like a charm I didn’t even made the roof thing I just let it raw and placed some torches Im planning on building the layers remaining but I’m lazy for now 😅

For all on PS4, this farm works best with the roof made of leaves. It will work with the tinted glass but very inefficient.
Can i replace the dead corals into button or something else?

Turn it off then turn it on
Set the repeater to a higher delay, this will slow it down enough so your items filter out.
If y’all realize that the loot and xp isn’t going down to you replace the magma with a hopper and connect it to ur collection system.

this works crazyy good in 1.21 latest. Just built 5 layers and it gives me 0-50 xp levels in 30 minutes
I’ve been looking for a good farm and this one is amazing! The only issue is that spiders get stuck and don’t get killed by the trident

I don’t understand why the roof needs to be so big? Can’t you just box off the top layer and slab it?
light seeps in around the edges and it needs to be fairly dark for everything to spawn:)

If you build it up high enough, the drowned won't spawn. I think he said at least 44 blocks above..? It's near the beginning.

i found an issue where some baby zombies escaped from the magma blocks causing my game to crash when i afk overnight.

you can use a ladder, scaffolding, or a portal to get up there:)

What if you don't have bamboo? And do you really need a trident killer if you want to slice them yourselves?
you can find jungle biomes using chunkbase.com or bamboo in shipwrecks, and tridents are super easy to get as well

you might've built on a chunk border, its gonna suck but you gotta move everything over a couple blocks

thank god a new mob farm, the last one was so expensive and i felt like it took yearssss to build

I'm making the old one, the though part are scaffoldings cause you can't find stings easy, for the other blocks I've used a cobblestone and stone farm, and for the strings I just get them with a sword in the mineshafts, if you find two mineshafts you'll have a total of 4 or 5 stacks of strings, the other half of the farm is gonna be built by the strings farmed in the first half

My farm wasn't spawning anything at first, I built it over a lake but I didn't realize it was technically a river biome. I moved it over land and now it's churning out mobs like crazy. Great farm and great tutorial!!

Try putting the repeaters to the 4th tick. I was having the same problem .

I like to make my prototype my redstone with stained-glass and smoothstone.
(specificly smoothstone, not stone nor cobblestone.)
The glass lets me both see in, and collorcode things.
The smoothstone makes it easy to measure distances.
both help me troubbleshoot.

@@Frog451_it's easy to get coral fans just go to any ocean biome, find dirt, bonemeal the dirt and you will have a chance to to get coral fans
Work perfectly on the latest version thank you man ! I only built 3 layer and it work like a charm I didn’t even made the roof thing I just let it raw and placed some torches Im planning on building the layers remaining but I’m lazy for now 😅
