Hi Grace! For the punch needle, you want to keep a lot of slack between the end of the needle and the ball, otherwise it pulls out the way your was. I put the ball of wool in a bowl and then pull a whole bunch out and the punch away! Hope you can figure it out, there's something very satisfying and tactile about the art you produce. I also suggest you swop sides of the canvas everyone and then so you get different depths.
The Mr Kipling angel slices you got or the 30%less sugar version. That's why they have to white icing on. The normal ones still have the white and you can buy the double or single packs :)
