- US president Joe Biden has announced new vaccination mandates for 100 million workers as he looks to stop the surge of Covid-19 across the country. Biden said said the Department of Labor is developing an emergency temporary standard that will require all employers with more than 100 employees to ensure their workers are vaccinated or tested weekly. 'Many of us are frustrated with the nearly 80 million Americans who are still not vaccinated even though the vaccine is safe, effective and free'.

Personally I don’t like being told what goes into my body. If I am told to put something in my body and have no choice then where does it end? You may right, natural immunity may give you better protection against the particular strain you get (but not against any other strains in circulation). However to get this natural immunity you must
a) take on the potential risk of death or hospitalisation, removing beds from other patients
b) nearly certainly spread the virus to others before your body fights it off.
c) actually have to suffer the virus which is often very unpleasant.
This is why vaccinations are needed.

The headline would say “X amount deaths today” but when you read the article, it would say that those numbers were the total number of people dead “within the past x *weeks”* but the headline would portray it as if lthat was the actual daily count.
Another issue I have is the fact that in June 2020 the uk governement updated their website to say that the vrus was *no longer* considered a “high consequence infectious disease” (HCID).
A HCID is defined as:
• An acute infectious disease
• has a high case-fatality rate
• may not have effective treatment
• difficult to recognise or detect rapidly
• ability to spread within the community and within healthcare settings
• *requires an enhanced individual, population and system response to ensure it is managed safely*
The last one got me. They are literally telling you to your face that “an enhanced individual, population and system response” (i.e lockdown, masks and passports) *is not required*
They describe c19 as being all of those things, but on the *official government website* it says it is *not* classed as this.

@Chris Viking the rate of spread isn’t reduced, it lessens the chances of people who are high risk becoming hospitalised. If you’re not high risk you don’t need it, children do not need it. It’s not a vaccine, vaccines provide immunity.

Also they are wearing off very quickly already needing boosters only a few short months after initial vaccination. These vaccines wouldn't even be considered useful it it wasn't for the hysteria surrounding COVID.

The Uk has done well with it's vaccinations. Cases are rising. (the vaccine is not a cure) But the important thing is hospitals are not overwhelmed, and deaths are low. The Vaccine is doing it's job.

I am unvaccinated and i havnt had covid once, it seems people with the vaccine get it more often. I wonder why that is?
My mum is 70 and is battling with cancer. She got Covid and was considered “high risk” to die from it. Doctors told her to get vaccinated over and over and she was shunned by her friends. She recovered in 2 days and said it felt like a bad cold but nothing more. Her friend however got the Covid vaccine and had a heart attack
