As trends in juvenile addiction, violence and suicide skyrocket, an “epidemic of hopelessness”, as it’s described by some health officials, strikes families particularly hard. Fr. John Girotti, Vicar General of the Diocese of Green Bay, uses his own experiences of family life to give perspective to the reality that most families try the best they can but “there is no such thing as a perfect family".
