And she will remember the people that freed her....for as long as she lives. This is sweet
Thank God for good people! What she has endured for no reason yet suffered so much . Love her and thank god!
Brilliant and well done to everyone involved in Annes rescue, and special thanks to Graham Garen of the Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary for taking the time out of his busy schedule to move Anne and to Longleat for giving Anne the care and devotion she deserves ..

Maybe she needs a friend. If not another elephant... another animal.
I would love to see this elephant in a more natural habitat with either other elephants from her background or released to the wild.

After seeing the video of Anne being abused, and then seeing how this and how she is in such a better place, I actually cried. I was so sad that this horrible abuse happens to animals. My mind just cannot comprehend such cruelty! I've just never seen worse.
Anne, may you live a happy and comfortable life at Longleat!!

@Ulysses61 We certainly understand your concerns. Unfortunately there are no elephant sanctuaries in Europe at the moment. So while BFF oppose elephants being kept in captivity, due to the unique nature of Anne's situation, in this case, it is such a vast improvement (there is a pool). Just look at how happy she is compared to before. This is hopefully temporary, and we will also be requesting that Anne is not put on public display, we want this old lady to live her life out in peace and quiet.

Having just read something truly awful about cats and dogs in China this little video has gone some way to cheer me up. A very happy elephant- no doubt her arthritis might improve a little just by being able to move more naturally and when SHE wants to.
