Splendide vidéo, je suis émue par ce petit bébé , seul survivant sans doute, qui doit peut-être être un peu triste. Il est très touchant, merci ! ❤💛💙,,💚 Have a great day !
Awe absolutely adorable video dear Cathy ♥ that little sleepy duckling is just too adorable for words. Did mom only have the one? It really brings a tear to my eye and fills my heart with so much love when I see mom and baby birds together. This little darling looked so tuckered out! I'm really amazed also by urban wildlife. Central park seems amazing with all that you have been able to witness & capture there (that Mandarin duck, saw whet & barred owl, etc) The music was perfect for this video as well. Wishing you a most inspiring weekend my friend, big like
Thank you so much Heather for the kind words! I was not at the Pond where this duckling was before the I filmed it but most likely there was much more than one. Unfortunately, nature is not always kind and glad to at least see this one well watched over by its mom. Have a wonderful Sunday dear Heather and more baby birds to enjoy! Warm regards, Cathy
Thank you so much! I'm happy to say on a visit last weekend, the duckling was still with its mom and growing quickly. Have a great night. Best regards, Cathy
@@quote_nature That's great to know. It's really cool going back and visiting the same areas to see how much the babies grow. At a lake near me, there was a mom and dad goose with their one gosling, it was also growing fast! Amazing how dedicated parents they are.
the best footage, little ducky you're the one you make filming time lots of fun! little ducky i am awfully fond of you (to be sung to the tune of rubber ducky!)
hello dear friend how beautiful is this the duckling cute awww lovely capture duckling and mother the close ups are wonderful a joy to watch must say love the music in the background he looks sleepy adorable best wishes great upload 😍👍
Thank you so much Peter! It was a pleasure to watch and film this sweet little duckling falling asleep next to its mom. I am glad that you enjoyed watching it as well. Best wishes and have a wonderful night! - Cathy
Thank you for this, you're doing the world a great service. That might come off as sarcasm, so I want you to know I'm being completely serious, being able to see cute ducks is extremely important.
I visited the pond when there was just this one duckling. Not sure if there were others but most likely there were. At least this little one's chances were looking good. Enjoy your weekend! Warm regards, Cathy
Have a great trip here! If you are going to be in Manhattan I recommend Central Park. Blue Jays have been seen this week. The best way to search for birds in any location is ebird.org. Here is a link to a search for Central Park (as a hotspot) on ebird: ebird.org/hotspot/L191106 It shows all the birds birders list on their checklist including Blue Jays. You can always use the Explore tab in ebird and search the Species Map for Blue Jay & enter the location you will be in. Hope this helps! It's been very hot here so I would suggest going out early if possible. Best of luck and enjoy your stay and the birds! - Cathy
Yesterday I was able to take a picture of a dark gray bluish bird. Can you tell me what kind of this is? I could also send you a picture. Have a nice day! :-)
There is a gray bird called the Gray Catbird, it has a cat sounding call and lovely songs. Here is a link with info and pictures: www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Gray_Catbird/id This website is helpful in identifying birds but you might have to send a photo if this isn't the bird you saw.
Did anyone else find it absolutely adorable when the duckling tried to go down to the water and the mother pushed him right back up?
Yes! She is so protective of her sweet little duckling who definitely needed to rest ;)

Ok, that's just too cute for words. The clip should've been preceded by a warning: "The following may be too cute. Viewer discretion is advised."

Such a cute duckling, well watched over by mother. Was this the only duckling in the brood?
