I just love how he drives along trying to convince himself that everything he is doing is ok. the real problem is not that its his truck let him do as he pleases, its the fact that he is passing this on as knowledge. lots of idiots will soon be runnning around manualy shifting autos. stay in school dude ,
Anyone who says 4060le transmission outta tell ya it’s gonna be an intelligent video
you definitely skipped leg day.
Fr his legs looks like my arm lol
It bucks in drive when you're stopped... you need a stall converter.
whenever i see my truck bros "manually" shifting their trucks it reminds me of those ricers that shift from 1 2 drive lol
I own a 2010 Ford falcon xr6 with sequential shift i fuck around and play with it like its a manual there's nothing wrong with that thats what its for mate
pro trick: watch series at InstaFlixxer. Been using them for watching loads of movies these days.
@Micah Maxton Yup, have been using instaflixxer for months myself =)
@@muratyolcu4793 commodore better
@@yamen857 I like commodores too I'm not biased
Guy has no clue - such a shame to waste a vehicle like that.
@Slim Reaper You don't even know what transmission is in the truck.
Nicholas Spring never heard of a 4060Le😂😂😂😂😭 heard of a 4L60e
Slim Reaper “Tranny is fine” a year later blows it up 3 times
Lol, that transmission isn't gonna last long driving it like it's a, "manual"...
so true i was thinking the same
Grayson Goss I've driven almost every automatic I've had like that. My DD had 180k on it when i started shifting manually, no issues up at 250k miles.
Grayson Goss I agree... it's an auto. let it shift... take it out of over drive if you want it to shift later.
sounds like he might need to reprogram the computer if it doesn't know what to do on hills...
FCFordLord if you want it to drive differently then get a tune. this truck could probably use one anyways.
Tony caffeine or just put it in towing mode. then there is no risk of damaging the transmission.
If you don't always want to manually shift put it in tow/haul mode. It changes the shift points in the transmission which makes a more aggressive sound.
Lol, sick truck. But... I know, you know, many of us know.. what that sound was.. at 7:17 lolol
I'm sure at this point you know, but you better get some after market parts in that transmission before you go three on the tree in an automatic lol
airsoftbones that the pressure from the trans he's gonna burn it up 🤦🏽♂️
5:57 "what is this nigga doin?" lmao
XxJUSTINxX had a geniune hood moment...
yeah lol
I wanna know when your trans goes.
When you don't know anything about cars so you spend 2k on a cam and shift a auto like a manual
Michael Capranica facts
Michael Capranica that transmission is screeching “save me”
He's gonna burn the motor up just trying to listen to it.
"It's a great tune I mean I just pop it into neutral and it runs just fine..."
😒.
Nick Johnson I don't have a converter and my truck loads up in drive when I'm stopped so I put it in neutral. The tune is great. Runs good.
Hahahahahaha "what is this nigga doin"
Yea it kinda slipped 😬.
+Slim Reaper lmfao that cracked me up😂
LOL
theGREEK7887 😭💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Your truck is goals man
Middle of the lane lol
How to blow a motor 101.
RizoProduction how will it blow my motor? It will destroy my tranny before anything else.
Slim Reaper Yeah, like thats any better.
+Slim Reaper Daddy couldn't buy you a manual?
RizoProduction cannot, no trucks by Chevy with v8s are manual
Adam Krasnecki the older ones, like 89-98 came in manual.
Shifting it manually isn't going to hurt anything, it comes from the factory with that shifter for a reason. The only way to hurt it would be keeping the engine at redline. Shifting in and out of neutral is a no-no tho.
Calf’s larger than thighs ✅
Shifts auto like a manual just so it sounds ‘cooler’ to other people✅
that’s all I gotta say
he really enjoys manipulating the gears
7:17 is the money shot lol
what kind of converter were you speaking of @ 5:53 and how would it be beneficial ? in depth details/analysis welcome
shifting a auto trans like a manual LMAO
lol that is the only way hahaha, i dont do it all the time but if im out rolling with people i do for sure
have a 5 speed manual in my silverado its not cammed
cemetery76 what's so funny I drive my 68 impala like that😆
No no no lmao that's not how an auto works 😂. This kid
Mason Rekas if he wants a manual t56 swap it lol
TrystenTork in a newer truck that's a lot of money and work
"What is this nigga doin?" 5:56
Eugene Krabs lmfaoo 😂😂
If the transmission does go out, instead of getting a rebuild I'd look into rigging up a manual transmission of some sort.
Nice truck man . So what does a converter do again?
I've had a rebuilt 700-r4 in my 'vette for ten years. it has survived five different engines in front of it, annual burnout contests, countless drag races, and daily driver duty for a majority of that time. I have a ratchet shifter on it and I manually shift the gears in it practically every time I drive it. just keep up with maintenance and install an auxiliary tranny cooler and you'll be fine.
Brian Bird yea my truck has a tranny cooler so it's all good.
Slim Reaper what most of these idiots fail to realize, is that you apparently have no problem spending money to mod your truck. Mods mean that you could have more power, which can easily break stock components. this means that as these components break, they'll need to be modded to handle the increased power.
so, with this in mind, I say to disregard the idiots, drive your shit the way you want, if it breaks either modify your driving habits or install stronger parts to handle the way you drive. I don't understand why they're worried about your truck as they aren't paying the bills.
good luck with your project, it already sounds pretty badass!
Brian Bird thanks man. Yea I'm not even gonna respond to the morons as they have no clue in wtf is going in lol.
wonder if he really realizes what he's doing is changing the pressure for the shift solenoids in which will throw a slip code in the computer then after three times it will put the system into limp mode and hang the transmission in second gear so it want shift then when he's roll racing and down shifts to get the rpm range he needs boom goes the front pump
Wtf was the point of getting an automatic if your "manipulating" it to be a manual?
Huntsville, i grew up in Conroe. going back down there to visit sometime in January and i roll through Huntsville, hopefull i hear/see your truck
DJsmaULl in HD sweet, just lmk and we can meet up or something.
have you tried running it in tow haul mode
Brian what is teadvantage ?
sounds awesome man!
I thought you were trolling at first...
What’s the cam set up I got a 13 ex cab and been wanting one just don’t really know a whole lot about cam swapping what all is needed and what not
Damn that sounds nice. That's what I want on my 2002 Chevy Silverado step side. 😢
if you're in san antonio get it at nogalitos gear take them the cam specs and they'll match something for you that'll work perfectly for your truck
I have been manually driving mine for 8 years with no problems, i dont do it all the time but i do it when i need to.
y didn't u just buy a fucking manual transmission?
Dan Gaurrich because it would require a cluth pedal and 10 times the work of an automatic tranny install.
Dan Gaurrich manual transmission in trucks are fucking shit they have a shitty 1st and same with all the other 3 speeds that's why auto are better
Because maybe he wanted an 07-13 Silverado, 07-13 Silverado's did not come with manuals.
T1GR3S13 complete bull shit. Manual transmissions are ideal for everything a truck is designed to do. There's one reason why they've fallen from favor- laziness
there's absolutely nothing wrong with shifting an automatic transmission manually, I've been doing it for the past 5 years in my duramax. I'm running just under 600 hp and just under 1200 ft lbs of torque and I haven't managed to fuck the tyranny up yet.
you need to add a high stall torque converter so you dont need to shift "manually"
truck sounds really nice, i want mine to sound more agrresive like yours. besides the cam. what exhaust setup do you have? what brand do you have cats on? or you took them off?
stangbanger19 no cats and those were summit racing single chambers. Right now I have cherry bomb glass packs and they sounds great
that trans is going to go out so fast
I made a video similar to this of my Big cam High stall 5.3 s10. Actually this video inspired me to make mine!
How many miles were on the truck when you had the cam put in?
Wait I didn't even know you can do that.. How are you shifting on an automatic truck???
My truck is the exact same I have 2007 Silverado LT cammed with LS3 heads and it pull from 40 to 45 until it hits about 60 and 60 to 90 pulls hard in 2nd gear
Slim what mods have been done to your truck besides camshaft upgrade
I am from that area too. badass truck bro
Cool man, we should meet up sometime.
4060L-e LOL its a 4L60E
Justin Thurman I heard that too lol
Justin Thurman lol my ranger has a 4l60e
+Jake Duerr doesn't it have the 4r75e?
KiKitutorials1 what the hell is that?? not a GM trans. if it's a 4 speed it's a 4l60e if it's a 6 speed It's a 6l80e.
KiKitutorials1 haha I think it's a 4l60e, that's what the guy I got it from said, but he wasn't sure lol
sounds Gd Rollin in On it Wrkin on Cam Lq4 & converter as well!
What are the cam specs? Lift, duration & LSA...?
you're one of those guys😂
I think you mean 4L60E. GM has never made a 4060L-e @00:31 and in video description.... 4L60e means 4 speed, longitudinal, 60 indicates 6,000 gvw (in early gens) but mainly torque rating of 360ft/lbs, and the E is for electronic. And i don't recommend using an automatic like a standard w/o a built transmission that has a shift kit and/or a manual valve body. I hope this helps.
He sold the truck cause of transmission problems, go figure.
6:57 🤔 did anybody else hear that
redd _ yea you aren’t supposed to downshift while you’re moving like that in automatic shit fuckin up lol
redd _ I I surely did!
Isn't it bad to put it in neutral while your rolling on a auto ?just asking
Vicente Figueroa lmfao yeah its terrible
Vicente Figueroa You should never coast in neutral an automatic transmission, it disengages the front pump and you have no fluid pressure in the transmission which is a very bad thing.
Vicente Figueroa You should never coast in neutral an automatic transmission, it disengages the front pump and you have no fluid pressure in the transmission which is a very bad thing.
nandoGdog Correct me if I'm wrong but the oil pump for the transmission is driven off of the input shaft. So if the engine is running the transmission is being lubricated.
+Steve Pounder you're right, transmission still turns while in neutral and is still being lubricated.
It bucks in gear at idle because it doesn’t have a stall. Just leave it in overdrive and drive it
why do you have to save a new converter cost around 200 and up
yea bud keep running high rpms see what happens its not a civic bud
Roman Palombo fuckn honda bitch
And no I don't like hondas😂 you fuckin dipshit
Roman Palombo and if you think the way he is driving that truck is ok then you are the true goof. have a nice day in insestville usa
Roman Palombo yea im a kid sure thing bud. have fun vaping in your moms civic bitch dont blow her speaker with that gay fucking music i bet you watch anime to you fuck
Roman Palombo you work fastfood and act like you know about cars lol and yes ill have fries with that
Are you slow there’s no shifting your putting it in overdrive and throwing it threw gears you’ll need a new trans soon
You need a tune and specially, install a" vet servo" to get a best shift response at any given point so you can stop trying to drive stick ...
sounds good !
@Slim Reaper
so many people with no knowledge commenting here.
1. DO NOT LIFT OFF DURING SHIFTS! auto trans are supposed to be shifted under load, especially at high rpm. If you want it to shift more quickly, install a shift kit and/or have the transmission tune adjusted.
2. Its "4L60E" not "4060LE"
3. Nothing wrong with up-shifting manually. Downshifts are a little different though. automatics are designed to transfer power from the front to the rear (input shaft to output shaft), forcing the trans to do this backwards (downshifting and letting the trans rev the motor up) is a good way to toast the bands and the clutch packs. try not to make the motor rev over 4k-rpm on manual downshifts, and if you do, add a little bit of throttle to take the load off the trans, It will help it to survive.
truck sounds awesome btw, i like it.
i used to have a 2010 silverado that i bought new. stock trans lasted till 21k miles. got a built 4l60e (rated for 700hp) and a 2500stall and it destroyed itself after 10k miles, broke the output shaft on the 1-2 shift. The truck was stock except for the trans, converter, and a catback exhaust. I had planned to turbo the truck but didnt feel like swapping transmissions every 3 months so i ended up selling it.
Ieatpeople2 sweet thanks for the info
I did that two when I had my 302 f150 straight piped. Lol be loud as shit in first gear
Nice truck 👌🏽I drive my truck the same way
Pancho Velasquez thanks bro. If u do it right it doesn't hurt a thing.
Sorry but I've never heard of a 4060le trans. 4l, 6l, 4t, and 6t but not a 4060. so you mean a 4l60e? it's a 4 speed longitudinal with a 60 torque or load rating (some number gm pulled out). sounds great just curious. have you pulled the pan yet and check the magnet.
kiltedsaint yea I meant to say 4l60-e and no I have not, should I?
Its funny because i noticed those apartments immidiatly
at 5:57 does he say "what is this nigga doin"
Paul Nasty yes i do. It just slipped out lmfao.
Haha love it
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So by shifting the gears manual it doesn't hurt the truck at all? If you do it on a daily driven
It shifts hard into second from first when I have it in drive, but when I shift it I can let my dog off the gas and shift it and it's a lot smoother than leaving it in drive, I prefer it and I don't think it's messing it up. My tuner said it shouldn't be a problem
So you have to let off the gas everytime you shift it manually?
No
Kaleb Henry no thats for a manual an autonatic is meant to shift under a load so if anything its better to shift with your foot on the gas
I know a few ppl who drive trucks with aftermarket cams and shift the auto manually
Keep these going dude FR ! Very informative
lmao you spent 2grand to put a cam in?
stlchevy95 bro I said the same shit this guy buys bags of oregano for 25$
What is your exhaust setup?
You're only an hour away from me. haha. I've got a buddy that goes to Sam Houston also.
So how long did the trans last im 100% sure u fucked it up manually shifting it lol and that buck is surging from no stall converter add that and u can stay in over drive all u want
is it a 4.8 or what v8? I wanna cam and put exhaust on my dad's late 07 silverado (newer square type body) with the 4.8l for Christmas
likaboss302 it's a 5.3
Get a 3200 stall converter for the cam
what's all the dash lights and radio lights doing they are going crazy
Denny Strate hahaha that's just the camera. If u shoot videos with the go pro It does that lol. Nothing is wrong lol.
can u make a video on how u shift on your truck plz
i always shift mine too,my cam sounds a lot different though
What size cam?
Truck sounds so good bro but when you shift like that don't you ruin the clutches in the transmission?
jorgey_dc2 I haven't had issues yet lol. And I did it all the time in my other truck too. And I have no issues with this truck either
I've got a 2010 sequential 6 speed gmc and it's nasty
why not just get a cam that starts at a lower rpm?
bishop I just really liked this cam and I figured by now I would have a converter to make up for the bottom end. But I don't.
So u don't recommend a cammed I want to get cammed for my truck but don't know what I need to get it if only cammed or with spring Etc
Yea man I'll send u a message on insta and we can chat, that's cool you are in Houston. So am I
What exhaust u have on?
Did you get a stall ?
Should of got a manual transmission if you want to build a hot engine.
"Keep it at high rpm and you'll be fine" wtf
Better to be safe than sorry if it says a converter is recommended, you get a converter 🤔
what exhaust do u have
it's all good, just make sure you don't down shift too many gears at high speed. I shift manually sometimes too, you can shift right at the peak instead of computer shifting beforehand. it sounds like a beast though.
bishop thanks man. Yea I know not to down shift too much but I know my rpm range in different gears.
bishop you can downshift heavy. The computer will not let you pass redline. TBSS here and you drop the gears and it will shift smoothly on its own. Now if you have a piece of shit tuner, he'll turn off those safety features. Don't know why. Chuck at HHP is my tuner now and he was showing me what piece of shit tuners do. So watch out where you get tuned
which cam do you have ?
at first I thought it said slammed silverado
You know a guy named pat Sullivan ? Buddy of mine who went to SAM
Sounds like a fucking beast man what cam is this?
Holy fuck you're hard on that transmission lol
ehhh not too bad, i have seen worse.
its called 4l60e :)
Omg it cost $2k for a cam swap???
Did they make manuals ?
How's that 4L60E 4 years later? Ya smoke it yet? Or did the rear end go first...
Sold the truck about 3 years ago lol.
Have a 8 speed camaro SS now
@@SlimReaper Nice!
@@SlimReaper I LOVE those trucks, I have a GMC and a Chev but the weak spots are the rear end and the 4L60E trans. They were only designed to last the manufacturer warranty under normal driving conditions, but the LS has such a strong bottom end you can turn a stock 295 Horse into 500 with some bolt ons and a tune but the trans and rear end just can't take it for long.
