I scramble my eggs. I place 10 scrambled eggs in a one quart freezer bag. I then place two bags on each tray and place the trays in the freezer. Once frozen, I remove the eggs from freezer bags and place the two frozen blocks back on the tray. Then I place the trays into the freeze dryer. I usually give it extra dry time to make absolutely sure the eggs are dry. Then equal amounts of water and freeze dried eggs to reconstitute for cooking.
Thanks for the video! My freeze dryer arrives tomorrow. I got a discounted one that's been slightly dented and/or scratched. I'm ok with considering I saved $1k!
Yeah, made a mess a couple of times too lol. Watch out for candy that expands a lot like milk duds lol. Skittles work great and are the easiest. I'm going to try ice-cream sandwiches soon.
@@TheBugOutLocation awesome thanks for the heads up! I'd definitely be down to watch some more freeze drying videos. Thanks for the great content! Keep prepping!
Check with Harvest Right. Not only do they have discounted refurbished and small cosmetic damaged units that come with full warranty as the new unit and all the same accessories, they offer a pretty substantial discount on them. If you get a new unit you can put it on 12 months lay away for $250 down.
Email harvest right directly. I got one on clearance because it's damaged superficially, still a full warranty. I got it for $1,800. We'd been saving for one anyways and got a great deal for a medium sized stainless steel one.

Good video sir.
I managed to “rent”…time on my neighbor’s freeze dryer!!! $6 per run of 4 trays… starting with eggs today
It costs me about $4 per 24 hours here in Colorado
G'day mate, when kept in a mylar bag with oxygen absorbers, how long will the last. Cheers
From what I've read, up to 25 years.
Thanks, I've asked this question many times but never received an answer. All the best from Australia
Ugh I wish I could afford a freeze drier- I end up giving my extra eggs to the neighbors 😫
@@Jean.A.squirrelI’ll give it a try! Thank you 😊

You can store eggs in a slacked lime water solution.
Up to a year.
Wish I had the 2500 bucks for a freeze dryer
