@@farasatfarrukh1776 a flow is the flow, the lyrics are the lyrics. although I get what you mean which is the lyricism isn't really there, it's titled definition of a rap flow not definition of lyricism. two completely different stuff
The best part about A.F.R.O. is that he doesn't claim to be the best out there. He knows there's better rappers out there and he pays homage to K.R.S. One in this remix. But I'll be damned if anyone can beat his flow. This is god-tier.
this definitely seems like something he would pop in his lil tape recorder and then cut an entire warehouse full of thugs down without even getting hit.
Bro, just wanted to say that ONE DAY (very very late i hope), I will remember you for this rap-lesson titled "Definition of a rap flow". You're not the man of just one hit song. You're the master of many HOT songs. I thank you for your style. Love and peace, from Sicily
I could see why he's underrated, read his lyrics, what the fuck did I read? "Medicine, eminent, feminist sentimental with edges of leads or metals Settled in envision listen to Ed and minimal and ripping a little bit, sending in a villain I'm feeling a little bit envy In the bit ending rhythm is heavy Rhythm is ending Put em in training, lazy raiding, amazing ages that Asian faces" I cannot even decipher what the fuck this is, it's purely just rhyme for rhyme, there isn't anything being said in the entire song at all, it's just random shit covered by a wicked flow, he sounds nice, but he isn't saying shit.
I get it shows off his delivery, but the rhyme part can't be impressive because it's hard to write consistent rhymes when you have to be conceptual, back then doing this type of music was nice, but we've moved on, we want too substance now, it sounds cool and his flow is really dizzying, fucking solid. I'm just not impressed with his lyrics.
My friend brought up a point where he said that the sole purpose this song was to demonstrate how impeccable his flow is, whereas some of his other songs actually have some substance to it. This song was like how it was for a reason. Trying to get the best flow possible is harder to do when you have the added challenge of it being like you said, conceptual. A good example of this is Rebel XD (who was the fastest rapper in the world).
This song is about flow, not lyrics. As you said, it has amazing flow but lots of the lyrics are just there because they rhyme. Even then, lots of the lyrics have actual meaning. Other songs by him have good flow and lyrics that make more sense.
@@flipgsp True but I just can't dog him that much for it bc he's shown he can make sense when he wants to. To me this is just rap for rap's sake, rhyme for the sake of rhyme
I think I understand the concept behind the lyrics it's not supposed to make sense it's an exercice of writing and rythm of the syllabe finding words that rhymes with a specific number of syllabes
He just raps fast enough wit his great flow to catch your attention. These lyrics dont even make sense they just rhyme..... how is he underrated? Because you dont understand it and it makes you feel hes on a higher level but no.... no
Nobody said anything about doing better than anyone. But Honestly its not hard to say random words fast in a selected cadence. Who just says random shit on purpose.... that makes no sense so please try to explain. But because hes not saying typical words its all good? See when other rappers say things you dont understand its trash. But when afro does it its cool? Good Job. This is why afro wont be getting anywhere major anytime soon. His success is good now. but if he focused on lyrics more and add his flow he would be everywhere. And we need more good artist.
I think that was just for this song (though I haven't heard his other songs) since is all about the flow. I would think his other songs actually make more sense haha.
If A-F-R-O isn't good because his lyrics don't make sense then like 90% of music is bad. Which it is if you're a pessimistic wave of electricity riding a meat body into the gnashing gears of oblivion.

YOOOOOOOOOO
this is stil fire
Im confused, it said "buy album here" but there was no link
The lyrics don't have to make sense, because he is defining a rap flow
He has to define what a rap flow is and though the flow is great the lyrics aren't exactly about what a flow is.
Farasat Farrukh He uses the lyrics to make his flow I guess
Hes not saying anything mind blowing but hes not speaking gibberish either
Hows the swamp

The word you're not sure of is "pry". It means to remove, to pull, or to extract. In this case, "trying to pull you from my snotty nose".
Wow. That’s all I can say. Oh, and good job with the lyrics

Fro doing for flow what DOOM did for Rhymes.

It doesnt have to make sense. It was a submission to a contest where hes just trying to show off as hard as possible.
Weak excuse. Rappers have been showing off their flows for decades while making at least some sense.
