I've never eaten a gooseberry, I've gotten alot of fruut Shrubs and trees this year, 2.apples,fig, redcurrant, kiwi, blackberry, collossus strawberries, raspberries, lemon tree, and a blackcurrant shrub, so looking forward to next few years, harvesting all these x
Nice haul! Always makes me chuckle when I see the rhubarb flavoured yogurt there. Its like a weed here, weve already had people on fb offering free rhubarb. Once youve got a plant it just never dies or so it seems. You can mow over it and itll just come back nicer! 🤣But it freezes well. I had a real glut a few years ago and found a really easy recipe for roasted rhubarb and garlic bbq sauce! Oh it was awesome! Super tangy! Have a good weekend! That sweet chilli chicken quiche sounds realky nice something a bit different. Sainsbury’s haul is much appreciated, just had a £12 off a £60 shop voucher in an email, I often avoid shopping at Sainsbury’s as I don’t personally find it the cheapest but fancied a change, this has definitely given me a few ideas. The Bernard Matthew’s escalopes used to be chicken, funnily enough. I LIVED on them with rice and veg through a few summers lol because it was a filling dinner without being ‘heavy’. They’ve changed it to turkey now. Not the biggest fan of turkey but might give them a go again for old times sake! Price of meat at Sainsbury’s is shocking, Dad & I bought some beef & pork once, knew they’d be small as only wanted relatively small once’s for a roast dinner.. small! About a mouthful, & price was shocking. Doesn’t surprise me you’re paying out of your 🍑 for that gammon.. £10.11!! I’ve always got my gammon from Lidl, been craving it myself but hate that I can’t pick it myself as I like mine quite lean. Xx

Nice haul as always. I got a load of fresh fish yesterday, and all ingredients to do your fish pie recipe. Came home to find someone has eaten my big piece of fresh cod! Apparently it was delicious with bread and butter 🙄🙄 the joys of family..... Can I still make a smaller one with just smoked haddock, prawns and a bit of salmon? would it still work do you think?
