I LOVE Lancaster. And we visited quarryville March 2021 with the kids and absolutely LOVED that area. Old windmill farm is my favorite Amish farm and the speckled hen in Strasburg…yum. Love binge watching your videos because you visit areas we visit and that we are in comfortable driving distance too with children. Keep them coming!
If you have a chance stop at Shady Maple in Blue Ball. A huge Amish food store where they have great baking supplies. Next to it a dry goods store. Up on the hill is a big restaurant. Can spend most of the day there. You'll see the buggies out side
Thanks for the information on this campground we might check it out this fall. Hope to meet you guys on the road. We are fulltime with 2 dogs and a cat
We may have stayed at this campground on the way back from Florida on our camping honeymoon over 40 years ago. Just one night, and we were wiped out from a long drive, though. Wished we'd had more time in the area. We love the Penn Dutch region, but haven't been there for a long time.
We've been to White Oak a couple of times, nice and close to home for a short trip. Thinking of going there this year again. Nice pool with amenities and close to local attractions. 👍👍👍
Great review. My wife and I are empty nesters as if this past spring so we purchased a Wolf Pup and are hitting the road throughout the summer. This sounds like a great destination for us. Side note... we love your channel and the dynamic of you two on screen. Very real and very fun. Keep them coming!
Amish go through Rumshpringa (sp) when they turn 18 when they get to decide whether to join the church. But before that, they pretty much abide by their parents rules and expectations for living. Also, most have cell phones. If not, they have a phone in the barn or a shed. Just not in the house. Just like us, some families are more conservative than others (strict to the rules of conduct).
I was just RVing in Lancaster last week too and we really enjoyed the Choo Choo Barn! It’s an amazing indoor model train set up. It was a great place to take the kids since it was raining out 🚂
Oh yeah, it is such a cool place. You need quite a bit of time to pay attention to all the little details right? I love how it goes from night to day too!
Wow I live like 15 mins away from here and we also go to the OBX every year- for the last 🤔 20+ years! I seriously appreciate you pronounce “Lancaster”correctly EDIT: a little disturbed by some folks you encountered in stores not wearing masks
lol thanks, sometimes we forget that it’s okay not to take yourself too seriously! Have fun at Buttonwood, let them know you heard about them through RVEC!
I live about 5 miles south of White Oak campground. Lots of Amish stands in the area. The BEST chocolate milk (and other flavored milk) is at Maplehofe Dairy on Robert Fulton Hwy south of Quarryville. They have bulk foods, deli and the best hand dipped ice cream! (handmade waffle cones made on site) Meck's produce on 222 just south of White Oak Rd has local produce, baked goods, & a small selection of Maplehofe milk. (Can you tell I'm a big fan of Maplehofe?) In Quarryville there is a large grocery store, fast food, laundromat, & Mennonite owned department store. 😊
Hi Natalia, thanks for watching. We keep the reviews short when the campgrounds don't have that many amenities (specially during the pandemic). Sorry there was not that much more to say at this time.
Thank you for the video. You two are so cute together! We'll have to check out one of the campgrounds in that area. We're spending a week in Cherrystone campground this month and next month we're spending a couple of night's at Massey's Landing. It's our first trip to Massey's. Our kids are grown Fawn so we'll get to enjoy the bar!😁🍹
Unfortunately it got pushed back AGAIN! Due to PA requiring a 14 day quarantine if you travel to certain states we worried that would impact us. We are really trying to get it in this year though.
Another great video guys! I like all the same activities you highlighted. I don’t know if The Cheese Guy is still in business in the next town east of Lancaster but his place is awesome if he is still open👍🏻
RV East Coast I did a search and there are 2 locations in Philadelphia now - one close to West Chester which I think is where we went. Seems they are distributed by Whole Foods as well from what I saw on The Cheese Guy Website
You do sound American, Hispanic American. We are everyone. Be you because that is what is so wonderful about our country. Watch Traveling Robert if you haven’t. He is a Cuban American who loves to travel and loves both history and architecture.
Fun fact about the Amish..... all the worldly things they shun- phones , computers , & etc are acceptable to use if they are going to make money by selling to non Amish. Some of their big farms have community stores with electricity , computers , etc . Also they are also have a terrible reputation for breeding dogs in inhumane conditions .
Yes, the Amish Mafia people are real working folks. I have a picture of my dad with Levi while he was working for Haller Electric. Good video, I had a few times where I laughed and Eli's jokes.
RV East Coast I am from this area. Born and raised in Ephrata. I always laugh at how excited people are to see the Amish because to me they are an everyday occurrence.
During the period known as Rumspringa, beginning at about 16, Amish youth are no longer under the total control of their parents on weekends and, because they are not baptized, they are not yet under the authority of the church. During this time, many Amish youth adhere to traditional Amish behavior. Once they join the church, they are expected to follow the Amish rules. I just found your channel from Playing With Sticks Channel. I'll be following you. I live about 5 minutes from this campground.
What are your favorite activities and places to visit around the Lancaster area?

Nice, keep us informed about other good campgrounds in your area!
I’m new to your channel. Looking forward to some more videos from you guys. Phil and Stacy sent me here.
Thanks for coming over... Phil and Stacy are amazing, we love them and their channel!

Do you know you need a state permit for your wolf pup ?
My kids are teenagers, but I loved taking them to Dutch Wonderland. Very family friendly. There is a campground there as well.
Yeah, Dutch wonderland is great and their campground is conveniently located near the outlets and all the restaurants.
Thanks for the comment!

This sounds more accurate than Eli’s “research.” Thank You 🙂

ha,ha YES... We don't have maple in my country and discovered maple to that long ago. I LOVE IT TOO
Thanks for watching!
Very polite reviewing the campground. You didn’t provide a lot of information on the campground but you picked my interest on the Amish way of life.

So jealous!! I have been wanting to get back to Massey’s without the kids but it hasn’t worked out yet lol. Hope you have fun there! -Fawn
Can't wait for that Outer Banks campground review we have wondered about this place! We were thinking of going there next spring.
Unfortunately it got pushed back AGAIN! Due to PA requiring a 14 day quarantine if you travel to certain states we worried that would impact us. We are really trying to get it in this year though.
Thank you for a very nicely made video and review
You are very welcome. Thank you for the kind words!
Very nice ... I love how you guys are your natural selfs. Please share the name of the campground in the outer banks North Carolina.
Thank you Ivan, we appreciate the kind words.
The campground is Outer Banks West / Currituck Sound KOA.
