"I just had the desire. I thought in order to be baptized, that I had to know everything about the religion. Just like I told her "you gotta know, you better know." So I wasn't planning on getting baptized so quickly until I read Alma 32:27. It says you just have to have a desire and God will do the rest. And I was like, I have a desire, I really do. I have felt so good about this. I've been going from summertime until April. I decided to start reading the Book of Mormon in January so by April I was devouring it. I was mind blown by all of the truths. I couldn't believe it. I love the Book of Mormon. It's amazing! It's so relatable, you know, to your life. You can just see yourself."

Over the years I met a lot of non-member folks whose health issues were attributed to coffee and their doctors told them to quit coffee drinking. Word of wisdom ain’t no joke.

Coffee is addicted and it’s actually a drug because it alters one’s brain, mood, energy, etc. It is also dehydrating.

@@Cyrusmagi if drinking coffee can help one cope with a certain disease, and prescribed by the doctor, then that should be ok as long as you consult with the Bishop. I knew a bishop who drank coffee as prescribed by the doctor. He consulted with leaders again when he became bishop. As for drinking in moderation, that has not been approved by the Lord. He said nothing like that. There can be some exceptions as long as the Lord approves it through his servants. We can make our own rules because of free agency, but that does not mean the Lord approves of it and the consequences for making our own rules are not for us to choose but for him we ought not mock regarding his rules.

Thank you for this!! I was raised in the church. My family stopped going to church when I was 14. My older brother and I kept going. We both served missions and were married in the temple. My brother ended up getting a divorce and leaving the church about 15 years ago. My parents ended up joining evangelical Christian churches. There were times after my wife and I were married were being pressured by my parents to leave the church. It was a struggle especially because we had a daughter that had extreme special needs. We were really struggling. We ended up moving across the country to kind of get away from the family pressure. We ended up with an amazing ward and got a lot of help for our daughter. I pray for all of my family all the time that they may come back to the true church. There have been times where my hope has dimmed, but over the past year I have renewed that hope and have been fasting and praying for them all the time. Thank you!

Thank you! Thank you! You three are beautiful, and you shine! I love this podcast. My mother also returned to Church after 25 years of being inactive, and my dad was always there for her, raising us in the church and loving my mom and hoping one day she would return. And she did! And so did my older brother who had been inactive for many years, too! I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and the knowledge that Christ loves us unconditionally. I'm so grateful for the cleasing power of His atonement in my life.

I'm 56 and still pray to find things. Last week after I realized I had no idea where I put the new checks that my husband needed, I prayed and immediately went to where they were. I laughed thinking that Heavenly Father likes to be the god of lost things. He cares about where we left our keys. He brings all things to our remembrance through the Spirit.

Geez. We have so many strong and awesome women in this church I can’t even describe. This was going on long before the feminists tried telling our women they weren’t strong and awesome if they were members!😊
I’ll finish this one a little later! Glad we’ve got another Las Vegas member representing!!

Thank you for this episode. I have been struggling to have my daughter's eyes opened to the beauty of the gospel. She left the church in her teens and has spent some time in addiction and hard living. While she is out of that phase now, she seems to have no interest in learning about how much richer her life could be on the covenant path. I refuse to give up though because I know that God can make all things a reality for those who love Him and live by their faith in Him and His son.

When you seek answers from the Book of Mormon instead of the Bible, God can't help you because you have turned your back on Him. Therefore this leaves the door open for Satan (II Corinthians 11:14-15) to step into your life with a false christ or prophet showing you signs and wonders to lead you away from the real Jesus of the Bible who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity. God Himself warns us about this in: MATTHEW 24:23-24
"Then if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Christ! or There! do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect..."
Mormons teach and believe that their jesus is the brother of Satan, which contradicts what God says in His Bible that Jesus is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity.
So Mormons, which Jesus do you believe in?
    A. Your jesus of the Book of Mormon, who is the brother of Satan.
    OR
    B. The Jesus of the Bible, who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity.

"And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." 2 Nephi 25:26

Just because you use similar Christian terms like God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, and even quote from the Bible.
Satan himself quoted from the Scriptures in MATTHEW 4:1-11.
But similar Christian terms and quoting from the Bible don't make you a Christian.
Knowing the true identity of Jesus Christ (John 14:6) in a world full of false christs and false prophets (Matthew 24:23-24) will mean the difference between you going to heaven or hell.
Mormons teach and believe that their jesus is the brother of Satan, which contradicts what God says in His Bible that Jesus is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity.
So which Jesus do you believe in?
      A. Your jesus of the Book of Mormon, who is the brother of Satan.

"When you seek answers from the Book of Mormon instead of the Bible, God can't help you because you have turned your back on Him" Oh really? So you would put God in a box, and say what He can and can't do? Do you realize how silly that sounds? Are you suggesting He doesn't love his children and won't answer their prayers? What would you say to the millions who have read the Book of Mormon, prayed and asked God about its truthfulness, and received an answer? Don't you believe in the Bible? James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." Matthew 7:7-8 "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." God does love His children. God does answer prayers.
I testify that the Book of Mormon is true. That it is the word of God. Read it, ponder it, and pray with a sincere heart and God will answer your prayers.

    Mormons, NO RESTORATION IS NEEDED.
Because Jesus already has established His Church.
    MATTHEW 16:18
"And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it..."
    JUDE 3
"Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints..."
Jesus already has established His Church and built it on a rock so the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.
Also, the faith was ONCE and for all already delivered to the saints.
No mention of any Mormon restoration in the past, present, or future.

If that’s the case, then how come John says in Revelations 14:6 that he saw in the future and angel bringing the everlasting gospel to be preached to all nations? If there was no apostasy, and you guys had it right for the last 2,000 yrs, why would God send an angel as John saw to bring back the gospel? By the why, that Matthew verse you stated means the gates of hell will not prevail against the rock of revelation. Remember, the church is the people; the people will fail, but Gods revelations don’t. So, you see, an apostasy did happen. Otherwise, there would have been no need for God to send the angel John saw to bring the gospel in the latter days. That angel appeared to Joseph Smith and thus started the restoration.

@@theephraimiteLouie’s a simple, but well meaning troll. I don’t think he has much of a life. He lives alone under his bridge and trolls. He talks like he knows what he’s talking about but can’t answer simple questions himself. His logic is failed. One of his favourite tactics is not engaging in meaningful dialogue but just force feeding his world view with lazy copy/ paste. His only relevance is the attention anyone stops to give this lonely troll. He’s best just ignored, like a crazy homeless person.

      @theephraimite
You have presented this verse without linguistic evidence for reference.
You also have also wrongly presented this sacred writ by LDS, is "NOT THE ETERNAL GOSPEL" of this scripture. The eternal gospel is the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.
The Apostle Paul told the believers in Colossae to be"...not moved away from the hope of the "gospel" which "you heard." Which "was preached to (or "for") every creature under heaven..."
      Colossians 1:23
"Thus, the gospel was preached in Paul's day..."
The context of REVELATION 14:6-18 (But you stopped at verse 6, you needed to go further to verse 18 for the correct rendering of this verse) indicates the time of this vision is during the end times.
Verse 7 and 8 refers to judgement; verse 10 is about God's wrath upon corrupt systems; verses 16 and 18 occur during g the harvest of this evil world order. Jesus, Himself, located the harvest at the end of the age.
      MATTHEW 13:39
...The "harvest is the end of the age," and the reapers are the angels (Greek word, "messengers").
Why would the gospel of salvation be part of the end times? Because the truth that Jesus died a "substitute" for Adam in order to "ransom all" from the Adamic death penalty was lost during g the dark ages. People believed that God's plan was either you accept the Mother church during this present life, or you be eternally tormented.

Everything you believe in is based on the Book of Mormon being true.
If the Book of Mormon is true, then answer this question.
Why isn't there any archeological evidence to support any stories that is in the Book of Mormon?
To this day, the Mormon church hasn't provided any kind of archeological evidence to support anything in the Book of Mormon.
