Gotta hand it to Maddie. She's looking fantastic on floor. Didn't expect her to look so strong so soon after her injury. If she can repeat her night 2 performances in San Jose, then I think she should lock up the 5th spot.
That back handspring + double tuck pass was so perfect and satisfying from that angle.

then she tore the cartilage in her shoulder. Sucks because she was so powerful and awesome to watch
I agree but at least she was able to achieve her goal of going to the Olympics

I LOVE her music♡♡ I think this is a beautiful routine! I really like the choreography and she performs it well. I find some floor routines too 'posy' and choppy.... but this has a nice flow to it. I think she's going to be going to Rio(as long as trials go well for her).
I'm a Locklear fan at heart but shoot, Maddie keeps winning me over little by little. (And that gorgeous switch half doesn't hurt either)
She beat Gabby on floor on night 2....just saying...GO MADDIE!!!
floor is my fav event for her😍 personally don't like her on bars, but beam and floor are great for her!!

Madison < Ashton
+FlipManiaFan 789 Kocian is a much more versatile gymnast than Locklear. They're about equal on bars, but everywhere else Kocian wins.
Plus Kocian has a more elegant body. In international competition, that matters.
Sean Abbott Ashton post higher scores on bars I know Marta would most likely pick Madison cause she got her all around back and might use her for last minute injuries (hopefully not) but if the USA wants to be safe they would pick Madison but if they want to be risky but have a higher change of winning a bars medal than they would pick Ashton but we'll see on Friday I can't wait I'm mostly rooting for Laurie :)
FlipManiaFan 789 Ashton posting higher scores at nationals is one thing. But internationally, we've seen that Kocian would post higher scores. Plus, she just returned from an injury, so she'll only go up from here.
And like you said, Kocian is the superior all around gymnast, and is a safer bet.

Kocian and Ragan Smith are different from the rest of USA team. They are light like feather, still in slender body not muscular, fun to watch n elegant
They are my fav 2 gymnasts 💕
Andrie Ferdy Antoni pause at :43 and :47 her quads! But I do agree, she does have a more slender body than most gymnasts. She's very beautiful, and her body is perfect.
