Hello. I have a G3 but after I make all the same settings from ur video it feels like much more brown or should I say darker overall? Even on SDR is this the best sharp option? Feels brown or something like that
Yes, I have overall the same problem. Its the temp that makes the tv dirthy look, but its there anyways. Maybe it is a bad screen? Posted a question velow. Do you have a c3, size? Maybe it has to do with Primevideo, Netflix. You tube is better.

I had to turn the warmth down to about 30 instead of 50, and it looks better. My issue is the cool tones are perfect but the warm/whiter stuff is a little too warm/green. Still looks better than "standard" either way.

Bro quick questions. All your settings are great but what settings do you use for standard TV in SDR and HDR. All the settings on your page are for movies so was wondering if you had alternate settings for standard TV channels.
I'm very skilled when it comes to calibrating the picture because I'm very passionate about it.....but I must say thank you because I didn't realize you could make a game mode out of any available picture preset and that is a game changer .....yes the input lag is gonna be increased a little bit but you're ending up with a much better picture quality than in the standard game mode picture preset.....thx again.....I actually did that on my Hisense tv since you can literally make a game mode out of any pictures preset but I didn't know you could do it on the LG g4
I really don't understand why all, but all, choose Warm 50 level, as long as, this setup gives a general yellowish color. Sky is yellow, subtitle is yellow, snow is yellow, everything has a yellow nuance. These are the real colors of everything that surrounds us??? in yellowish? I look around me, I look outside, on street, in nature, but I don't see the things being such yellowish as they are on the Tv screen with this "Warm 50" setted.
You’re just used to cool monitors making white look blue. Hold a sheet of printer paper next to the screen on a 100% white screen. They should be the same color, the display should not be bluer than the sheet of paper Once you use warm 50 for a few days you won’t be able to go back. White is its own LED on LG WRGB displays. The blue pixel should not be activated at all, which it is if you don’t use warm 50.
I followed the video every minute and I have a C3, but somethings weren't making sense there's only one filmmaker mode and when I made changes to it for STR I then had to change it for HDR movies, so how do I have a specific picture mode for different types of continents like movies and games if I'm using the same mode for all of them and any changes, I make apply to that mode
im kinda confused. i followed the steps for both SDR and HDR under filmmaker but you said to apply to all inputs. How can I switch between the settings when i’m watching either hdr or sdr content?
Your TV will automatically switch and apply the SDR and HDR settings based on what your watching (SDR or HDR) hence is why you press "apply to all settings". If you have anymore questions please feel free to post again.
You don't need to disable any Ads/Privacy settings, if you set your location to "Others" Settings > General > System > Location > LG Services Country = Others Probably because then it's unclear which law LG needs to follow, so nothing should be tracked/sent, etc. At least for now... edit: outstanding job!! Why is the gaming settings in your video different than the resetera guide you have? for example, at 43:08 you can see you have real cinema on? and your black level 48 but its 49 on the guide! also noise reduction etc should be low or off?

So does this mean we change the scene every time we're watching a different kind of media? And, how do we know when to use HDR setting or not. Does the TV automatically switch to these HDR settings when there's HDR content, or do we have to do it manually? I'm a little confused :(
When you play HDR content the TV switches to HDR mode, when you play dolby vision content the TV switches to dolby vision mode, each mode has its own seperate settings. HDR or dolby vision will show in the corner of the screen when either content is played.
Can someone explain if you have to use OS Web as the input to set the settings? Within the updated excel sheet for settings, it says 1st step is to change input to Game mode…. Which input should you use to apply the settings…..I’m confused
Thanks for your explanation! Is there a way to save Profile Settings? I don't wanna change the settings everytime I switch from a SDR to a HDR movie. I know that LG saves settings for each HDMI source, but I haven't find a option to safe Profile Settings.
Hi P40L0! Quick question...in your settings for HDR Filmmaker Gaming on the PS5, you say to turn OFF Real Cinema. But on my TV that setting is greyed out and is automatically set to ON. I can't change it. Am i doing something wrong?
HI Paolo @techoptimized Thanks very much for your detailed video in recommending settings. I recently purchased a C4 model where I looked into the settings for best picture as I found a lot of judder something I didn't get on my Plasma at least didn't notice it. I wanted to contact you as I'm having problems connecting my Panasonic Surround sound system going through the set-up I managed to power the device up during the set-up after setting up the universal remote control but getting no signal trying all HMDI ports. LG and Panasonic are not able to assist me in troubleshooting further. Are you able to assist as I understand you are using a surround sound system?
What input icon do I use for apple tv 4k? Also can I just use the WebOS movie settings for the apple tv? Also your table guide says to use 2.2 for Gamma for SDR content but in the video you say to use BT.1886. Which one is better?
@@techoptimized Thank you. Can you explain what you mean by the paper white brightness of 200 nits when doing hdr calibration for the consoles. On the series x, it only gives options for min TML, max TML and max FFTML. What does the white paper brightness correspond to?

So I followed this guide for my 48 Inch C3 + PS5, specifically for FF7 Rebirth, and the colors look a bit dull to me. I'm basing the color off of official PR images and they look more vibrant?

How does using an Apple TV 4K affect these settings? I noticed when streaming through an AppleTV 4K, Filmmaker mode is not available due to the Dolby Vision
Great vid, just applied all settings to my c3. I did loose my game optimizer settings on the bottom center when I press the gear button. Don't know why.
What about PS5? i I'm using Flimmaker mode setup just like what you said for HDR gaming. But when going to advanced settings of filmmaker mode, there is no HGIG option available, Only Dynamic Tone Mapping On or Off. I'm using C3 42 inches. Pleaae guide. Also, I read your PS5 calibration settings on your Patreon page. Still confused.
You don't need HGIG anymore when having ALLM + FMM + (the new) DTM: On for gaming with the same low input lag. The picture will be much better than HGIG in all games. Still best to set their Peak HDR Luminance to 4.000 nits tho, same as PS5/Xbox HDR Calibration app (on PS5 it's +25, +25, 0 clicks) See the video and my links for more info
@techoptimized Thanks, I watched it twice. So I set the PS5 calibration you mentioned while keeping the DTM ON in FLIMMAKER MADE with Fine Tune -4. And it's all good for HDR gaming? And what's FMM? I do have to tell you, I very much appreciate you for giving valuable advice. 🙏
Hi, does anyone else get an issue when using a PS5 or XSX with the LGC3 where the game dashboard doesn't show up when pressing the settings button? I can select Game Optimiser and see that Game Dashboard is set to on but greyed out but the smaller dashboard never shows up. Wondering if it's because the picture setting is set to Filmmaker mode and not Game Optimiser?
@@jt5196 Set the TV Internal Speakers' Audio preset to Game Optimizer and you'll see the game bar (with Low Latency: On as well) if you also have ALLM enabled.

My film maker mode is no where near as bright as displayed in this video despite triple checking settings, not only does it have a wierd almost tint to it but it is just dark with no brightness shining through in any scenes intry it on
Nice video! I have a C3 and for me DTM with game mode looks better instead with FMM. With FMM, the Suns are looking like a big orange ball without any transition. With DTM ON with game mode, the Suns are looking better with transitions. I would like to use FMM + DTM On but the suns in video games bother me. I used the latest settings from your Patreon page.

I’m getting a lot of screen flicker whilst watching Netflix through Apple TV with these settings. Any idea what might be causing it? Full fibre with Ethernet connection - so not a network issue.
I connect all my consoles to my Arcam receiver and have my receiver connected to HDMI 1 on my G3. The HDMI icon for that input can't be edited while the cable is connected so I unplug it, set it to game console, then plug it back in then it reverts to the receiver looking icon. Is that a problem?
Hi P4OLO , i noticed that fmm on my lg c2 looks a little bit brighter but it’s dimmer than game optimiser. Night scenes and sun looks very good in fmm but it gets dim .

@@techoptimized Hi Mr.Paulo, in the description i see the newer one thanks so I will go by that link, so 49 will be the black level. However real cinema is still greyed out with the settings but the guide says to have it OFF. Help would be much appreciated and many thanks - from a new fan!
@@michaels5034 It's normal having it greyed out when ALLM (and low latency) are active, it will mean it's Off
@@techoptimized Ah thank you :)
@@techoptimized sorry Paulo one more question, if I'm keeping game optimised mode on, is it still the same hdr calibration on ps5 as film maker plus DTM (no hgig)?
Thanks . Used settings for C4 with PS5
So Filmmaker mode instead of Game Optimizer for gaming huh. I found the PS5 home screen a bit too dim (compared to playing a game) when using filmmaker mode. Any idea why??
Thank you for this great video!i have only one question how to separate different image preferences (sdr, dolby vision) for netflix, disney plus etc if all apps share the same input?when i change for example the settings for netflix and then i want to set up disney plus they share the same image settings
Can you show the settings for the different % signal levels for the white balance im trying to eliminate the green tint on my g4 i have it on warm 50 btw.
Whilst in settings for Dolby Vision the Video Range setting is locked to ‘Auto’
Any idea how I can change this to ‘Limited’ as suggested in the video?
I have LG C3
brother one question will lg oled g4 55inch give gud picture clearity of sd channels which is usually 480 p ,if not then what about 720p,?nd 1080p? as im going to buy g4 but our usage is ott+set up box. so im afraid if the tv doesnt show gud sd or hd channels then it will be problematic🙌🙌 nd bro what are the settings for sdr channels in lg g4 55inch?🙌✋
Same question.
If you cant change it, it is considered disabled
@gianniskarabesinis7580 wrong. I had to adjust some settings to turn it off
Ok i see. I have a similar problem with the option just scan. Mine is on auto and greyd out all the time. Do you hane any insight how to calibrate it?
Getting a lag between the picture and the sound after these settings :( i have a bose soundbar connected to
HI Paolo @techoptimized Thanks very much for your detailed video in recommending settings. Are you able to assist as I understand you are using a surround sound system?
hello. lg c 4. Which 'METHOD' better to use for hdr movies and db movies. in your tables you have only '/'
What input icon do I use for apple tv 4k? Also can I just use the WebOS movie settings for the apple tv? Also your table guide says to use 2.2 for Gamma for SDR content but in the video you say to use BT.1886. Which one is better?
Use any icon other than PC and yes, use webOS settings for it. Latest and best settings are in the chart in the description, so 2.2
@@techoptimized Thank you. Can you explain what you mean by the paper white brightness of 200 nits when doing hdr calibration for the consoles. On the series x, it only gives options for min TML, max TML and max FFTML. What does the white paper brightness correspond to?
Thx a lot, first day had a lot off issues with my LG G3, willl change the setting according to your video, thx a lot
any problems mine will go back
Thank you so much - helped me get started with my C3 - what settings do you like using for HD live sports streams (daytime watching ) ?
Thanks I just got a 77in g3 I appreciate the settings will try them out

Great configuration walkthrough video. I just got a G4, would the same settings as the G3 work?
Yes
@@techoptimized thanks! in your opinion, do you believe burn-in is possible with SDR /PC input at 85 pixel brightness and all protection features turned off when working daily on dark mode in in Windows on all productivity programs (browser, mail, word etc) or best is to drop the pixel brightness to 50 in that case?
@8:17 bass boost or treble boost?
Bass boost
So I followed this guide for my 48 Inch C3 + PS5, specifically for FF7 Rebirth, and the colors look a bit dull to me.
I'm basing the color off of official PR images and they look more vibrant?
I use game optimizer all the time.
With my lg c3 on xbox sereis x if i dont leave my gamma signal on auto for the xbox movie app it drops signal constantly i dont understand it. But on auto it works flawlessly. This is my third C3 in less than a month!! Ive had nothing but problems with them??😢😢
Thanks for the update in July 10, 2024.
This is amazing! Thank you
How does using an Apple TV 4K affect these settings? I noticed when streaming through an AppleTV 4K, Filmmaker mode is not available due to the Dolby Vision
Great vid, just applied all settings to my c3. I did loose my game optimizer settings on the bottom center when I press the gear button. Don't know why.
You've to also set Internal Speakers audio to "Game Optimizer" sound preset to preserve the game bar
Thank you 🙏
What about PS5? i I'm using Flimmaker mode setup just like what you said for HDR gaming.
Still best to set their Peak HDR Luminance to 4.000 nits tho, same as PS5/Xbox HDR Calibration app (on PS5 it's +25, +25, 0 clicks)
See the video and my links for more info
@techoptimized Thanks, I watched it twice. So I set the PS5 calibration you mentioned while keeping the DTM ON in FLIMMAKER MADE with Fine Tune -4.
And it's all good for HDR gaming?
And what's FMM?
I do have to tell you, I very much appreciate you for giving valuable advice. 🙏
Set DTM: On. Forget HGIG...
at 42.18 followed all previous instructions but 'Just scan' greyed out and I cannot turn it on.....why? please
@techoptimized Thank you so much for the response! I'll give this a try when I get home from work. Your settings are awesome man, thank you!
@@techoptimized Does this mean you can only go this route if you're using the internal speakers? How about if you're using a sound bar, as you were doing in the video? I'm having this same issue with my Xbox...trying to calibrate in FMM, but won't pop the gaming dashboard when I press the settings button.
When setting up in Xbox, I don't have those numeric values on screen for HDR mode?
My film maker mode is no where near as bright as displayed in this video despite triple checking settings, not only does it have a wierd almost tint to it but it is just dark with no brightness shining through in any scenes intry it on
LG changed the tone mapping curve for filmmaker mode DTM.
Use cinema mode or game mode if you use DTM.
He’ll let loose looks too dark with this settings? Can someone help. PS5
Same here. Games look fine for me, but main screen of ps5 is Hella dark
I feel it looks the best with OLED motion switched on but it flickers, so fucking annoying - is there anything to fix that?
at 24.30 you say leave Filmmaker mode auto start 'OFF'? is this correvt. On my tv it ison, I shouldgefinitely turn this off?
Fot gamming i can use Cinema Mode + ALLM? I dont know why my LG OLED G3 77’ The light goes down a lot when I put filmmaker mode on. Its the same Cinema mode and Filmmaker mode right ? Both have it the potencial colour.
What a wonderful resource, thank you!

I’m getting a lot of screen flicker whilst watching Netflix through Apple TV with these settings.
Any idea what might be causing it?
Full fibre with Ethernet connection - so not a network issue.
i just cant see dolby vision settings on my LG OLED C3. Can u help me? I put on the TV dolby vision content but nothing happens
Also disagree on dynamic tone mapping ON for HDR gaming, it should be HGIG whenever possible
But what about watching movies in SDR/HDR from a PC? Not covered in this.
Hi P4OLO , i noticed that fmm on my lg c2 looks a little bit brighter but it’s dimmer than game optimiser. Night scenes and sun looks very good in fmm but it gets dim .
Don't use FMM for gaming on C2. That's only for 2023+ series
This is so helpful!!!!!!
Hi! I am experiencing overpowering brightness from sunlight windows, large lamps, etc. I know that it can just be the source in some cases, but it's happening all the time now. Can anything be done to fix that? My G3 wasn't like this when I first got it and now it's really bugging me. Thanks!
Best picture I have achieved on the G3 and the gaming settings produced excellent outcomes. Thankyou
How should I calibrate HDR on PS5 with the G4 latest Firmware update??
When i set mode to the FILMMAKER on Xbox or Switch, the settings button doesn't open the Game widget. I have to open it manually from the main settings and then it shows Low Latency as OFF. LG C3.
Switch doesn't support ALLM so you have to use PC Mode + 4:4:4 Pass Through Enabled and/or Game Mode to have low input lag.
Hello friend, have there been any changes to the hdr for the ps5? in the most updated case? and which image mode should I use?
Hi I've got an LG c3 plus series x Panasonic ub820 player and every time I play a film or show in dolby vision with 4k hdmi deep color on I notice flickering in the background all the time but when I don't play dolby vision hdmi deep color I don't get the flickering is this normal?
hey can you please help me out? i have a c3"48" and a ps5 but the aspect ration setting specifically just scan is greyed out for me and it's set to auto and i'm not able to change it. any help would be appreciated!
This app has stopped connecting to my G3.
It's worked fine but now won't connect.
Ip and everything is the same, I also updated the app. Downloaded the app again still won't connect, G3 is still connected to same network and same Ip adrees
wow is all i got to say, grealy appreciate you, god bless
Is it better put PC ICON for consoles or put-on the toggle 444 passthrough? (I m speaking on LG c2) Thanks man ❤
