When someone says something I don’t understand, I ask for one repeat. If I still don’t get it I say “Okay I’ll tell you what I’m hearing.” Then I repeat the exact noises that I heard. It definitely does suck being the type to get there on time, but it also has its perks sometimes. Mainly more free food/drink than everyone else. My issue is that if I'm not getting there on the time they say, then what time do I pick? Am I meant to be 15 minutes late every time, or am I meant to leave 10 mind before the time and get there whenever I get there?
I'm also very introverted so I'm more than happy to turn up and then just chill by myself anyway, but on the off chance I did need to be there in time, then I also get that.
I'm never anxious about if i make it to a meeting on time, i always plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes early to account for anything that could happen. Sure i have to wait a bit once i'm there, but i can just look at my phone or listen to music while i'm waiting
