What did you replace the failed diode across the MOSFET with? I working with one inverter now and two diodes has failed, but have no markings on these SMD diodes.
I have one of wvc300 that blow the AC part. The DC seems to work (led is ON) . Is it worth checking to repair (the moffset I guess from your analysis). My solar panel is around 250w max so not a full load so do you think it is still worth ?
Buy quality brand old failed inverters. They are very easy to fix. In most cases just needs a new relays, or diodes or even just resoldering some bad connections. I tried to source faulty one for parts for Loadmaster XP project. Ended up buying 4 inverters rated between 2 and 4kW (each just 20-40 Euros). Almost all had just a minor faults. One of them had no fault at all, I guess it was users fault :) Anyways, I had to sacrify one for parts, as I couldn't keep trying to source one with a major problem.
Sometimes I wonder if a Chinese engineering department is like "yeah, it works for a couple of weeks/months, let's sell it!" ☹☹
Recycle the parts..... curious how you arranged the three V-limiting diodes (also are they across the source and drain?)
Thank you! Very helpful, sometimes it isnt worth the effort to repait this junky inverters. One expect them to last 10 years but last yust a couple of kwh.
Keep teaching us!
