I love that you took the chance with K&M because of your zone! It'll be nice to see how Fortuniana works out in zone 7. Love your taste in roses and plants in general, it's the best! I want to smell some raspberry fragrance!!!! Excited to hear about your top 3!

Baden-Baden is a town in Germany, hence the double Baden (prounounced like Bah-den) :)
Just be patient with K and M for now. They just lost a family member this week to CF. I believe their 24 year old granddaughter. So give them some grace if they don’t respond immediately. Their roses are beautiful though.

Omg. Thanks for posting that. I emailed them and received a very curt reply basically blowing me off. I’m in 7a and wasn’t told that fortuniana would be iffy in my zone. I’ll take your advice and give them some grace in these crazy times.
@@AndYourLittleDog There was a rose I HAD to have that they offered and I am going to plant those canes deep to ensure it survives. Do the same and lets compare notes next year. Happy Gardening-
Update: I tried again yesterday. Placed an order email. I received a reply today. So less than 24hrs, in a Sunday, during a holiday weekend. Soooo they're back! He's emailed me several times today and is very kind and ensuring my zone can handle they're fall shipping schedule. Which is great. Happy to see them slowly readjusting after their horrible loss.

Do you have any experience with miniature roses? I just ordered and received one in the mail and wondering how to care for it overall since I have zero experience with miniatures. It arrived with a bud and leaves and is so super tiny! I plan to plant in a 14 inch planter today with fresh potting soil with a bit of biotone mixed in and keep it indoors for the next few days in indirect sunlight but after that I am not 100% sure what I should do. Planning to keep it by my front door in full sun and overwinter it in my garage since it isn’t winter hardy enough for my Zone 5a. The seller told me it was a white parade miniature rose.
Hi Sonya. I don’t have any miniature roses but if it’s not winter hardy, it sounds like you have a good plan. When you take it outside for the first time, put it in the shade or cover with an umbrella. I know that sounds silly, but it’s not used to direct sun. I would keep it in the shade for 5 days or so. Let me know how it goes.
@@TheRoseGeek Ok I’ll keep it in the shade and give you an update! Excited to see how it goes, I love roses so figured if I love the standard size maybe miniatures will be just as lovely. Fingers crossed 🤞
