I like how quickly you went from not interested in GTA to GTA took over my life.
I'm sure he said that when he did not know anything about it. I bet people only showed him the crazy stuff you can do in the games like blowing up cars or killing random people. Those things are cool but that is not what the game is supposed to be about. The main and best part of the game is the story.

@beyond agreed, that said, let’s not pretend like there aren’t a handful of missions throughout the campaign’s that literally require you to do exactly what you just described.

I keep telling everyone Vic Vance is an underrated protagonist. I wish Vice City Stories gets a remaster one day, 1984 is without a doubt the greatest year of the 80s. Also, something tells me you're going to love San Andreas.
Got to say the older ones are a bit harder for newer players cause their are no checkpoints and failing means restarting the mission over the checkpoints were initially introduced in Rdr 1 a Separate rockstar title and then perfected with LA norie and GTA 5 and the weapon wheel that lets you have each weapon from each class was brought in RDR 1 which came after GTA 4

Vice City and San Andreas still have the best soundtracks of the series

@@jordan0010 GTA 4 is probably a better game overall but the soundtrack from Vice City is better as it has multiple amazing radio stations. There's a reason why people have modded the music from Vice City into the PC port of GTA IV (Vice City Radio), it was just absolutely top tier.
I'm currently replaying GTA IV right now, I usually do the "Deal" ending but I think for this time I'll try the "Revenge" ending.
Good to see you getting more into GTA. GTA 6 is going to be one heck of an experience! Hang in there boys, 2025 is nearly here.

Yeah GTA 3 and 4 i think stuck to a more Mafia realism.
From a videogame to a cultural phenomenon. It's crazy to see how much this franchise grew
2:52 Fun fact GTA 2's setting of Anywhere City has a very retro futuristic Cyberpunk look to it, picture Gotham from Batman 89 mixed with Total Recall or Robocop. It also had a hybrid of old meets new cars so for example the police used these really cool 1940s inspire police cars that look like something from the Batman Animated Series. Would be a great setting in 3D and is the closest we've came to a GTA Cyberpunk game.
Recommend playing GTA San Andreas and IV, San Andreas is more fun and IV has the best and serious story out of all of them
I remember just driving around in GTA 4
Still feels bad sucks to see how Johnny from Lost and Damned ended up getting curb stomped by Trevor, he was one of the characters I really liked in the GTA 4 story DLCs, and in the end he dies horribly.
What a nostalgia trip this was watching all the trailers. That one GTA V trailer with “Sleepwalking” playing in the background is probably one of my all time favorite video game trailers. It got me so hyped up to play the game. I know GTA isn’t known for reusing protagonist in games but I’m really gonna miss Micheal, Franklin, and Trevor. I hope these new protagonists are great but it’s going to be really tough to replace those three.
Also I’m pretty jealous of you Tyrone, you’re just now having a blast with your first time playing GTA V with GTA VI only two years away (hopefully). A lot of us have been waiting 10 years for it 😂.

I got faith in GTA 6. Rockstar usually knocks it out of the park. Bully, Red Dead redemption 1 and 2, Manhunt, and none of the GTA ever disappoint me
It's crazy how much stuff they improved from GTA 4 onwards.
Improved? Visually, sure, but gameplay wise, they simplified it and made it less fun.

@@Tw1s7There was certain technical aspects that were toned down for GTA V as it was on the same hardware and bigger in scope but it was more fun than IV overall.

@@Ghostrobo1011 Have you played GTA IV? If you have, you can absolutely notice it right away. Ragdoll physics, car handling physics, overall destruction and car damage. The effect bullets have on the environment and damage to NPCs.
I still feel like San Andreas had the biggest world because it had 3 cities in one. GTA V only had Los Santos along with rural areas.

Crazy to remember all those other gtas . The most popular and unforgettable gtas that were the most talked about memorable were only gta 3 , gta vice city , gta san andreas for the most part to make it seem like those other ones before 2001 didn’t exist especially the ones on the psp hand helds and stuff . Lol
We've really only seen 2 generations of open world GTA.
GTA 1&2 are their own thing, a 2D sort of arcade style thing.
GTA 3 was the revolutionary jump to open world, bound by the tech of the time, primarily the PS2
Vice City and San Andreas are just PS2 era GTA 3 with minor improvements
GTA 4 and 5 are both PS3 era games. So while 5 came out in 2013, it is really on par tech wise with 2008's GTA 4 engine. They actually had to balance out added features with downgrades in physics.
I've been saying games have been stuck at essentially the same fundamental point since 2008. They just eat more resources now without doing anything different.
It will be 17 years by the time 6 drops so hopefully it isn't just a higher poly & texture + raytracing update.

Bro I'm still impressed with myself for beating the first GTA(Bird's eye view) in my childhood, I'm f@#$8ing old bruh.
I dont even have a console anymore, but i may have to get one again for GTA vi, i remember playing 1, dont remember playing 2 at all, but have played 3,4, and 5, i played 5 on colse, then later on tried it on PC, and learned how to mod it, and never could go back to console, it was to much fun being able to have the mod menu that you could pick the time of day, all weapons, invincivility, pick any vehicle in the game you wanted to drive and spawn it, make it day or night, etc. Put real cars in the games, install real sirens, i always replaced the stock police cars with Chargers, Tahoes, Explorers, it was alot of fun.
In the far flung future, GTA 4 is a good experience and enjoyable DLC stories you cannot miss if you're a gamer.
I remember I was recording Smackdown on UPN when the San Andreas trailer came out and I kept rewinding it for like 30 minutes 😂
Gta vice city will always be my favorite literally because of the music alone smhh I miss those days
Fun fact: that song was Summer Madness by Kool & the Gang. Later sampled in a few 90's rap songs. It's also playing on the radio in Rocky's apartment in the original Rocky!
there was a system in 4 that was called euphoria or something like that , but it had a bad ass animation system where he would react to curbsides and npcs could grab onto things like car doors and stuff and be dragged with, it was awesome but it got dumbed down for 5 , idk why the hell they did that but some modders did their best to bring the system back
San Andreas or 4 are the best ones to me
To me IV best story, and San Andreas best GTA all-around stats because of the customization and all the activities you can do and places to explore on the map.
@@user-os3mk9px7h I think 6 will be a great story like 4 and will let you have the most player customization since San Andreas. 6 should honestly be the most versatile out of all of them and have some of each San Andres, GTA 4 and GTA 5 with modern graphics.

I really hope GTA6 take the right path cause taking the wrong path can damage rockstar big time in reputation and financially and I don't want to see one of my favorite game studios go down like this😅
@@BLACKSTA361gta 6 will be fine the only thing that I'm a bit unsure about is the story but i have faith that after rdr2 they MOST have come up with a great story fr literally there biggest video game of all time this game is the definition of "To big to fail" and they know this very well they fumble with it so i know they will deliver something good what I AM considered about however is the online if the game is successful it will push more people to online and rockstar will more than enough reason to shove in as many microtransactions as they can

You got to watch the 10th anniversary for GTA Vice City it's really cool. features Danny Trejo's character in the beginning as well.
The Vice City Stories along with Liberty City stories are like DLC before DLC was really a thing. Vice City Stories is set two years before Vice City where we play as the brother of a side character featured in Vice City. While Liberty City Stories is set in 1997/8 I want to say only a few years before GTA lll set in 2001. Liberty City Stories has us playing as a side character you do missions for in GTA lll with both games showcasing earlier versions of Vice City and Liberty City so we get to see parts of the map being built showcasing the passage of time.
The Lost and Damn along with Gay Tony for GTA IV are set parallel to the events of GTA IV so there's alot of overlapping and we get to see a differant point of view. Both DLC has there own tone and feel as well with Lost and Damned being extremally gritty featuring brutal weapons while Gay Tony is much closer in tone with GTA V featuring a more colourful display and even the city of Liberty looks more colourful as well. There's more high tech weapons and vehicles and Rockstar did a great job at showcasing three differant experiences with a single game.

It’s crazy how rockstar has never really “faked” their visuals in trailers. They all look exactly like the visuals in the actual game and in some cases the visuals ended up being better than advertised

Funny thing, but true - GTA IV gameplay is more FUN and the story is more TIGHT than in GTA V.
Just put a graphics mod on there and it feels fresh.
They need to remake GTA London or make a mod of it for GTA 5.
In my opinion you should had started off with Vice city and make your way up from there.
the top down GTA's will always be peak for me. the 3D games were like a reboot, a totally different game. they were alright up till san andreas.

Is difficult to pick a favorite. GTA SA was epic for it's time and soooo good! GTA IV was magic too and GTA V lasted for more than 10 years as a top top game and the Online made it even better. I think I'll say the next is my favorite because I know it will be even better.
