TRANSANGLIUM 1: Can I Cross England in a Straight Line Before GeoWizard?

- It's England time, baby!
Straight line missions have been around for a while now. I've watched many of them from other members of the community and learned a lot: what to do and - more importantly - what not to do! With that knowledge, along with my own experience, it was time to put together the "perfect" straight line adventure. This is the culmination of every dismal success and glorious failure so far.
Credit to all in the community who inspired me to even attempt something this audacious. Some are mentioned in the video but many others I simply didn't have time to acknowledge:
@GeoWizard
@marcusthechessteacher
@ReubenSchmitz
@ollie_taylor
@fieldhouseboys
@AKoboldsAdventures
@jakobstenhoej252
Miguel Magalhães magamig.github...
and more
Let me know if I go past your house!
Music:
Jerusalem - C. H. H. Parry, arranged by A. Stanley
16 Bean Adventure - A. Stanley, variation on themes of T. Davies and H. Goodall
Rejusalem - A. Stanley, variation on a theme of C. H. H. Parry
What a quality bit, laughed my head off at the reveal of the OG straight line missioner
The start of a glorious Magnum Rectum!
This was brilliant, I hope Tom sees it
This is fucking amazing and such high effort! I was laughing the whole time. Incredible to see a legend like you joining in the tradition of 1st April UA-cam videos haha
Also, incredible music arrangements that must themselves have taken quite a bit of effort, some lovely suspensions in Jerusalem and Rejusalem and very impressive how you transitioned from Tom's music to Mr Bean. Love to see a fellow musician doing crazy cool stuff like this :)
for me personally, you've definitely won April Fools this year. Legend
Oh and also, thanks for the links in the description of some other straight line missioners I haven't watched or heard of before!
Glad you enjoyed, and thanks for the support!
I had a really fun time working out the Bean transition. Definitely my favourite video to make so far
Bravo sir, that was awesome!
This is great. Lucky we have your MS Paint recreation to demonstrate how you scaled the cliffs.
Oh man I wasn't expecting to laugh so much ahaha
What a sick platinum run
Don't forget Nicholas Crane (Two Degrees West), another pioneer of straight line missioning!
Absolutely! He deserves a credit and I’m glad you mentioned him. Unfortunately I couldn’t get a copy of his book before the shoot. Maybe in Part 2…
Ik this is april fools but you should make a series
Oh, I fully intend to. The editing is taking a while though, so maybe check back again this time next year?
@@allys_adventures very well will
Credit to Aleister Crowley who also climbed Steep Slope 1.
This has to be a parody
Umm, what day is it today??
7:55 This was masterful - a recreation geowizard theme that evolves into something else (I won't spoil it)
When can we expect a line analysis video and can you give us a hint at what the Burdell score is?
I put it into the Burdell calculator and my laptop caught fire. Assume 100% for now
Good job we had that paint recreation otherwise i wouldn't have believed you got up that cliff!!
the algorithm doesnt get it it's only in my feed after geowizard's is out.....
Took me far too long to realise this was a spoof 😂😂
looking forward to part 2, excited to see how he gets across the pleasure beach lol 😂
Lovely stuff, especially enjoyed the 8-bit music!
Good thing you were recording!
Bravo!
The rope bit is hilarious 😂
What happened to Part 2 ?
Straight line across England is easy, go across lizard point in Cornwall
Scotland is too big compared to England on your map. Was this done deliberately by you?
Sassenach lies! In my opinion, Scotland isn’t big enough
@@allys_adventures Bigot. Reported.
I'm really enjoying the new "famousphere" approach on UA-cam 🙌😉👍
Good to see you started at the actual ocean, not some river that’s “ ouhhh tidal” but 59 miles inland. Stay true
Exactly, starting at a river that sometimes has saltwater in it should not count as the ocean
This is absolutely fantastic - an hilarious spoof (I assume)! 5* 😁
Marcus has made it here! (a little late but nevermind haha)
That was the best thing I've seen all YEAR. Thank you! 🤣🤣🤣
You came close... Congrats! 🪢
Absolutely fascinating 👍 definitely subscribing 😃
Absolutely brilliant! This was fantastic!
Amazing lmao
You got me all excited 🤣🤣
Great watch! 😂
I can just imagine the smile on Tom’s face when hearing that music transition
jesus christ, what a painful intro to your channel
Proper LOLs. Great stuff.
I like how the entire journey is the worst and longest of choices.
What a great laugh! Nice one
You joke, but this would totally be me.
250 metres is not straight line
That was outstanding!
Cool, now do Australia
Absolutely brilliant!
Hilarious!
Love this!
