Dena deRose is an excellent pianiste who played with Houston Person at this same venue a few years ago (worth checking out and available here on YT). Scott is just Scott and plays wonderful swinging jazzy-tunes. Saw him several times at live gigs during the 70’s and in the early 90’s at the Brisbane Hilton. Great quartet playing great stuff. First heard Scott around forty years ago backing up Rosemary Clooney on several of her late in life jazz albums. He's still great. Thanks for posting. I hope there are many more videos to come from this festival, especially from the SAJB and related musicians.
