At one point, actually, who am I kidding, a number of times since the show ended my friends and I have geeked over how many different ways it could be done with the original cast. The main issue was how to do it in a way that would allow the cast to age up. Then you have how to bring back the dead and then fixing a number of plot holes and then came the laundry list of very specific personal wish lists. I am more of a writer than hardcore math and physics thankfully I have lots of friends and this became a favorite argument. Depending how it was handled pushing them forward sans powers for around 10 earth years it can be anything from a quantum singularity to someone like Nyx or Khaos pushing it. With Bo's father, they jumped the shark when it came to jumping pantheons with the bottom line being that All pantheons fall back and punt to The Goddess/God of all creation in most it was Khaos and her daughter Nyx are about the only thing upper order deities fear. Like I said, ideas and execution are doable just depends on who is weighing the scales and who has their thumb on them. Then we went into how to get Tamsin back, The simplest avenue would be to make her a twin because her name actually means Twin. I know too many people who genuinely loved the character, people who can speak sarcasm fluently are few and far between. The only reservation I would have is losing the voice of the original character. Trick and Bo's mom could be easily brought back. You can't tell me that the Blood King didn't have contingency plans. Since I became a parent my contingency plans have contingency plans. I think Evony human, even briefly would be magic with Lauren. They seemed to have a good bit in common and insane chemistry. That would also bring her in as full faemily member since Lauren makes her more compassionate and more even, mildly evil with a chance of compassion. I always figured that if anyone would know a way to twist a Norn's arm and get something to release Dyson's attachment to Bo, without making a 'sweet harvest table' it would have been Evony. Dyson deserves his happiness he tends to be possessive and that isn't in keeping with Bo's species. Incubi and Succubi aren't made to be monogamous. (Do NOT get me started on this argument) I always thought he and Kenzi would have made a good match. Save Evony's life give her a seat at the table with the gang and I am betting that she has more than a few fixes for gang. Now, Tamsin was the only person who didn't lie to Bo nor did she try and restrict her, possess her etc. Even jealous she wasn't willing to try and place limits on Bo's autonomy. So yeah, Valkubus. There are a lot of story ideas for all of this. My money is on them figuring out a way to bring it back. Shop it to Netflix, Max, Prime etc.
I just discovered Lost girl like 3 weeks ago and I watched all 5 seasons in 10 days and I can say that it didn't feel dated to me. The writing is just so good and the relationships between characters are so well established that it is still really enjoyable 12 years later. It had been a while since the last time I considered a show to be on my top 5 of all times. Usually shows that you watch while growing up have so much impact on your life that it's hard for other shows to get their spot up in that list, but Lost girl is so special that it's already taken a place in my heart. Thank you Anna, Rachel and the cast for this podcast, it's wonderful seeing how you all care for this show and the fans ❤️
Not surprised Lost Girl is finding a new audience again. The way i described the show to recommend it to others since i watched it in 2014 was it's like a modern Buffy the vampire slayer show, just without the highschool setting and fae instead of vampires. Have a lot of similar vibes and tropes. Chosen one (Succubus vs Slayer), a Scooby gang of friends and found family that helps Bo and having to balance living in the "normal" human world vs supernatural fae world. Really loved this show.
I love listening to his anxiety-filled memories of their sex scenes 🤣 There's gotta be so many moments where actors are trying for "sexy" and end up with "help!"
The community and camaraderie that the actors and crew have and seeing that being displayed in each of these episodes is SO HEARTWARMING. Safe working environments that can also push your limits and expectations is a Midas touch of collectivity. I love to see it - and feel it! 🙏🏽💖
I agree totally with the both of you how the episode played... Love the behind the scenes deets! This show really was a "Who's Who" of Canadian actors. I still smile all over seeing the guest stars in other shows & movies!❤
Such a wonderful conversation with Kris about ep 4! Loved it and Faetal Attraction - seeing you two on the screen together again was quite emotional. The tribute to director Steve DiMarco at the end - ❤
Absolutely love that there both wearing almost the same kind of glasses speaks seriously to the amazing chemistry that they have both on and off screen there amazing love it so much
Faetal Attraction Was One Of My Top 6 Favorite Episodes Of Season 1 💖✨💖 By The Way Anna Silk Should Do An ASMR Episode Because Her Voice Is Literally Silky💯No Pun Intended😅
Omg you two!!! Bo and Dyson's love was to dye for!! I was so hung up on you two had me sitting on the edge of my seat! Definitely hottest couple on the show. Love you two hot humans!!
Lovely to see another re-watch episode! :D I missed you guys! Hope you had good holidays! :) I love how casual, yet professional and also funny you two can talk about that pilot sex scene. That must have been so funny indeed xD Chemistry is so mysterious yet powerfull. It's hard to answer WHY someone has good or bad chemistry. It just happens naturally/instinctively. I met someone some months ago that I had never seen either but we just clicked and now we are creating a friendship together. It's a beautiful layer of being human :3 I can imagine it was hard/awkward to film the treesome. I think sex scenes will always be a bit more 'charged' so to speak. I for one kinda was jealous of you all xD I'm glad Dimarco's way of working actually helped you creatively, Anna. Good for you^^ I was wondering, is the voice of the actor who plays the Ash really that deep of did he enhance it? Beautiful tribute to Steve DiMarco at the end :) He struck me as a Metalhead from what I saw in the picture and of course with the music. And Metalheads are more so than not big teddy bears indeed! :3 PS: I love that quote at the end you said Anna 'Forces of nature don't die. They transform' ~
Aquellos hermosos años.... Y hoy estamos todos con anteojos. Yo tengo 1.0, vos Anna? Mi miopía se aceleró con la pandemia, encierro en un departamento de 25 metros cuadrado por un año tuvo su consecuencia
Said it before & I'll say it again -- Bring the show back with all new episodes!!!! Faemily Forever! ❣

Kris Holden-Ried has the perfect "Good Boy" voice, like he's playing with a doggy.
