Jay Slater heard 'slipping on rocks’ in bombshell last video call with pal before he vanished

- Jay Slater's best friend said he could hear the missing teen slipping on rocks during a final video call.
The 19-year-old phoned his pal Brad - who he was on holiday with in Tenerife - after getting lost last Monday morning.
Jay, Brad and friend Lucy Mae jetted to the island earlier this month to enjoy the three-day NRG festival.
After going to a rave that finished in the early hours of June 17, apprentice bricklayer Jay headed to Masca with two British men he had met that night.
He shared a final Snapchat from their Airbnb of a hand holding a cigarette at 7.30am.
Jay then tried to make his way back to his holiday accommodation - an 11-hour walk away.
But at around 8.50am he made a desperate call to his friend Lucy saying he was lost in the "middle of nowhere" and had just one per cent battery on his phone.
Jay also said he had cut his leg on a cactus and needed water.
It is unclear whether the call to Brad was separate to the one made to Lucy.
Now Jay's friend Brad has opened up their last conversation - saying Jay wasn't initially concerned about walking back to their accommodation.

So the girl who set up the gofundme said he called 30 mins after leaving the place he was with the 2 other people and said his phone had 1% battery, then it died. So unless he made a video call before that, knowing his phone was almost dead, "slipped off rocks" then made the call to this girl but never mentioned "slipping off rocks", someone is lying out of their asses here.

Someone posted a screenshot on the discussions group on Facebook from Lucy, showing the call logs, which showed the last call made between the two as 'outgoing', meaning she called him. So my guess is the lying person is Lucy

It's possible that he had Maps open to check where to go/fastest way to go, maybe got the name of the town he was staying in wrong, went in the direction that Maps told him, the app was churning away, using up battery (it uses up a lot of battery to keep running Maps), took/made a couple of calls and, before he knew it, he was out of battery, with a dead phone.

My guess is Lucy has to pay back the drug 'bosses' for the gear Jay may've stolen from the two men whilst they slept. He could've legged it and stashed the gear on the mountain, thinking if he kept off the road they wouldn't spot him. But not long after, they did...

Throughout a trial at Preston Crown Court, all eight laughed and joked in a way the judge said showed disrespect. The judge said if the group had been convicted of the more serious charge of section 18 wounding, they would all have gone to youth custody.
Tom Hilton, who was 17 at the time of the attack, suffered a head injury so serious his skull was exposed, and wounds to his shoulders and legs in the attack close to the Old Paper Mill in Hermitage Street, Rishton, in August 2021.

Tom Hilton, the victim, was jailed for 14 months, disqualified from driving for 25 months and must sit an extended re-test if he wants his licence back. He pled guilty to attempted burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving. Before conviction for these offences, he had 14 convictions for 28 offences.
The court also heard that on committing these offences on February 12, Hilton was in breach of two community orders which had been imposed on him, one just three days earlier and one in November 2021 which was a two-year order.
Recorder Timothy Hannam KC said: “You have an awful record for someone of your age.
“You’ve had a great many chances to change your ways but these offences are so serious that only a custodial sentence is appropriate.
“This was a prolonged period of bad driving being chased by police. The speeds were terrifyingly high in built up areas. You were lucky the streets were relatively empty."

@@SteveJones-gz4vd if a 19 yo kid must died... that never can be a life lesson...Jay was a chav who comitted some crimes when he was 16 yo....Is he condemned to be a criminal forever for what he did when he was 16? Furthermore he did not personally attack the other criminal...he was simply with the group that attacked the other boy.
But what happened in 2021 is not matched with the Tenerife Event...There is no connection between the attacked boy and the two middle-aged men in Masca.
Will all come out in the wash always does eventually.
I am more and more convinced that unfortunately Jay Slater died in that park as a result of an accident... hypothermia, a fall down from a cliff or through a crevasse or exhaustion. He must have died the same day he disappeared. Such a shame for such a young boy with his whole life ahead of him. RIP

@@neil9294 It doesn't have any logic. When a boy steals drugs for his own consumption, they beat him up and he no longer works for them, but they don't take their lives.
The dogs would've found him if that were the case. Now that it has been revealed that he fraternized with drug dealers and was possibly drug dealing himself, re: the two men at Casa Abuela Tina, (one is a convicted drug lord), it puts a totally different slant on the entire story.
