We urgently need to protect our forests and water sources in the midst of building factories and data centers. These are our precious treasures that are irreplaceable once they are gone.
According to the U.N. FAO, 62.3% or about 20,456,000 ha of Malaysia is forested and an annual average water availability of about 28,400 m3 per capita. Based on this fact, Malaysia is a country with abundant water resources.
Our Govt are smart enough not to use forest,because still have plenty of unused,abandoned land sites readily available.These are easier to work on,rather than higher cost of forest clearing.Not practical to spend more money.
All these projects you mentioned were intiated by previous Prime Minister Najib Razak which the current govt criticize him for many years (before locking him in prison) only to copy and paste all his work as their own. Only stupid naive people did not realize this.
@@KhaiFirst What many people don't realize is that under the Western financial system and institutions, Malaysia's economy can easily be crippled if the West impose sanctions or ban the SWIFT system. BRICS allows trade in other currencies than the USD and minimize risk in an event the US decided to ban Malaysia from using the USD for global trade.
There's a motivation, hopes, energy n moves here in malaysia. Finally. Sayonara to our lost decades and let's move to the developed advance economy. Under a very good leadership of Anwar Ibrahim and his team Malaysia is moving towards a sustainable growth country hopefully by 2030 meeting all goals as stipulated by UNDP. It is no point to be just a developed country or a high income country if hunger, poor health or educational facilities, corruption, poor sanitation, social injustice is present. As mentioned Malaysia is facing v huge historical debt to clear. Also there are too much political noise and rhetorics that make life very interesting in this country.. Seeing Anwar Ibrahim commitment and vast experience he can achieve what we want in this small but important country.

Let me tell you why there’s such thing as brain drain. You graduate as a engineer the normal graduate salary is RM2200 To Rm3000 And a business school students even lower at around Rm2000 The basic salary for any worker is RM1500. That means a graduate that spend thousands and thousands of ringgit just to have approx of Rm1000 better. And if you take the same certificates and go over to Singapore, you get the same salary in SDG. Where now you can save at least 3x. Where the grocery food you get is 3x cheaper. Plus the inflation is crazy and salary is not keeping up. A kolo mee used to cost 3.00 in 2020, the basic salary was RM1200. Now it’s RM5.00 (167% increase), while the basic salary only RM1500 (125% increase)

Broadly unable to fathom this, India has cheap tech labour, Vietnam has cheaper labour in general, Indonesia is high consumption fast growing, same goes for Thailand. Don’t think Malaysia will have any clear advantage and will have fair competition to attract investment. Having said this Malaysia is definitely a great and beautiful country..
It's not just about cheap labor. Companies are also look at the quality of workforce when it comes to high tech manufacturing. Malaysia already has 50 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and accounts for about 13% of semiconductor global back-end manufacturing. Simply put, the country that has the best quality and cheap workforce wins the investments.

Foreign companies are still keen on selling goods to China because it's a big market, but they do not want to be slapped with tariffs by the Chinese government, so they set up their factories in Vietnam close to Chinese border and rebrand the goods as "made in Vietnam" to bypass the tariffs. It's true that Taiwan manufactured 63.8% of the world's semiconductors, however, most electronic goods do not require high tech 7nm chips. Legacy chips are still used in most electronic goods from kitchen appliances to gadgets such routers, electric cars, entertainment system etc. Hence why China is set to dominate the legacy chip market in the future. This is the market that Malaysia is aiming for as many Western countries want to derisk from the Chinese market and look for alternative country that can produce legacy chips at competitive prices.

Good progress but some deep rooted fundamental issues with Malaysia is... Political stability(should be better with M gone).....fickle policies and changing mind and stalling on agreed projects... racial inequality .... corruption at every level (even the police) ... Foundation not strong for long term progress and sustainability. Time will tell. Still, wish Malaysia all the best!
all it needed was lessen corruption, removal of ketuanan in workforce demanding 30% participation, high enforcement and removal of bereaucracy and FDIs will pour in, its a no brainer. Philippines under Aquino III has done it! Indonesia also have done it under Joko. At least this current PM has the political will to change the slumber! lets see how long it will last before the warlords come for him or if prosperity of investments will corrupt Anwar!

Foreign companies are still keen on selling goods to China because it's a big market, but they do not want to be slapped with tariffs by the Chinese government, so they set up their factories in Vietnam close to Chinese border and rebrand the goods as "made in Vietnam" to bypass the tariffs.
It's true that Taiwan manufactured 63.8% of the world's semiconductors, however, most electronic goods do not require high tech 7nm chips. Legacy chips are still used in most electronic goods from kitchen appliances to gadgets such routers, electric cars, entertainment system etc. Hence why China is set to dominate the legacy chip market in the future. This is the market that Malaysia is aiming for as many Western countries want to derisk from the Chinese market and look for alternative country that can produce legacy chips at competitive prices.
