I've been calling it creole, though i'll admit, i'm not versed enough to know if that's at all accurate, but in my mind it invokes that New Orleans style, so that's how i make peace with it.
That was so great… Glenn the drummer is back in Ireland and is also a bass player I believe…don’t think he is doing music presently but also a lovely guy… you couldn’t find humans like The Big Push together or individually that I enjoy watching as much… that was fun Jaycee… thanks 🫶🏻
I'm not sure if you've done Praise You, I watch so many reactors now that it's hard to keep up. And Dignity, you'll love the video and finally my current favourite Precious, Ren wrote it when his granma died, sorry if you've done these, I try to catch all your vids but my memory is crap💙🇬🇧
@ Nah, he got a job in IT then got married. The kids part I'm unsure of. I've seen from multiple sources that he owns or works at a pub in Ireland though.
Hey Jaycee! I really recommend you checking out Praise You, Precious, Swan Song, Dignity, although I recommend the music video version of Watch Out, it involves a friend of the band's daughter who is a skateboarding PHENOM. The video was filmed when she was only 6 years old and KILLING it on the skateboard. Seriously. As a former boarder and a fan of skateboarding, it really is impressive how skilled she was at 6. I hope, several years later, she is still skateboarding because she had SKILLS. It's too bad that TBP is not as likely to rejoin, even if Ren is at his best with his illness.
An Englishman in New York was originally performed by Sting. I prefer the Big Push version. It was written about the Writer Quentin Crisp. Other TBP songs you might like to react to: Heart Attack, Dignity, Precious. Liv Sangster in the Sweet Little Lady Video has about 12 Improv Jam sessins with Ren.
SLL also has a really good live version you should check out. Both are great though. The other seems to kinda take the edge off the rock a bit, so it's slightly (and i mean slightly) more lowkey. fun fact, all these people can be seen in their crowds in a lot of videos, you might recognize orange top girl from the 'Shot the Sheriff/ Road to Zion/hip hop' video. a couple of the others are also in that crowd, but out of frame on the official video.
Ok. i loved all your choices but i would feel bad if i didnt tell you. sweet little lady also has a live version that is amazing you have to check it out.
Everyone assumes that TBP broke up solely because Ren was going to Calgary for treatment. Ren himself has said that isn't true. He said that, by that time, the others also had other things they wanted to do & were ready to move on. His departure just put an exact date on the end. Glenn got married & moved to Thailand where he went into something with computers. He & his wife now own a pub back in Ireland. Romain wanted to concentrate on his solo career, which is what he originally left France & came to Brighton to do. Gorran seems happiest just to wander the world, busking as he goes. He's currently in, or just returned from, Mexico & Uruguay. Ren & Romain have performed together several times since Ren's return from Canada. Ren said they'd love to do something with the whole band. "It's just a matter of getting those guys here." But he said that before his health setback which upended a lot of his plans. We can hope it happens.
With your reaction "a picture is worth a thousand words" enough said. Great reaction young lady.
Sweet little lady was Blues with some Rock and a sprinkle of Jazz thrown in.
And also, one of Ren’s favorites with The Big Push is Swan Song

Another great reaction. However, there is a better version of Sweet Little Lady, the live version in the "Lanes" of Brighton.
I'll make sure to watch it!!
It's a joy... that's it!
Thanks for the reaction. Keep smiling!

Jaycee, The look on your face says it all.
Thank you for reacting ❤❤❤

Love watching these with you, they are so in tune with each other and yeah hope they get together again, even if it's just fir one show ❤
Ren & Liv Sangster " Im in Love " Live studio sessions. Best jamming ive ever seen.
yes mate
o yer liv was in sweet little lady vid
Last I heard Glenn, the drummer, was happily working away at a pub in Ireland, with no interests in coming back.
wait, really? I heard he took a software job in Singapore, zero idea if that's factual.
Yeah, that's what another Ren fan was saying and I'm really happy for Glenn. I also heard he got married and had kids?
@ Nah, he got a job in IT then got married. The kids part I'm unsure of. I've seen from multiple sources that he owns or works at a pub in Ireland though.
Ren leans toward punk rock his political lyrics also lean that way. Love your passion for Ren and his music ✌️❤️🏴.

Another Band you might Like Jefro Tull " Thick as a Brick " A British Rock Band from the 70s Slightly different.
I love Icarus and (behind) Icarus, very funny
Watch "Why My Woman" if only for the video and Precious for the stop motion video.
Ok. i loved all your choices but i would feel bad if i didnt tell you. sweet little lady also has a live version that is amazing you have to check it out.
@LaShayHaynes-t8f Yeah, a few people have let me know lol I am definitely going to rewatch that version of the song very soon!! :)

If you want a beautiful original song with amazing harmonies checkout swan song. I dont think youve done it yet but i cant remember 😁💜
I would really hate being in a band with a guy like Ren, this solo is really hard, nah you just go like this, fuck u man
I prefer the version of the band preforming Sweet Little Lady. In the Alleyway in Brighton.
I will make sure to watch this version soon!!
Since you like Sweet Little Lady, you should like Icarus. I also suggest you watch Praise You.
Sweet Little Lady is more Indie Rock (similar to bands like Arctic Monkeys, Pulp and Vampire Weekend, The Killers, etc) more than Grunge.
Good stuff... Sweet Little Lady live version is better.
@jeremythornton3240 I've been told lol I'm going to make sure it's included in another video because I loved it so much and can't wait to see it live
@jaycee_cos92 Definitely worth it. Also, What Kind of Woman is this, Precious and Swan Song are some of my favorites.
