I once had a girl tell me that she had had a horse growing up. I asked her what breed he was and she said, “ I don’t know, but I do know he was “part stallion”….I was laughing my a$$ off.

I’ve had people say,
“Oh you ride horses?/Oh you have a horse? I do too!”
And I will say, “That’s nice, what discipline do you do?”
“Oh, I don’t know, but I have 6 years of riding experience.”
“Well cool! I have about 7-8. what’s your horses name?”
“Bay.”
“Ha, that’s funny, is it a bay?”
“What?”
I don’t hold it against them though. I go to a school in a very urban, populated area, so most of the time I think they are trying to fit in. Still rubs me the wrong way though.
They could ride a horse, maybe they just have no idea about that stuff and the wierd names for things
@@kittyunicorn5473 Yeah, that is true. But the same person had claimed to have had 6 years of riding experience, and her friends confirmed she did not have a horse. I guess some people could have just not known, but in my experience everyone who has said that has never owned a horse lol

I got dragged then git back on and got bucked off five days ago then yesterday He reared up and Lets just say I have a broken leg so they are DEFINETLY "Special" and hes proud

@@kittyunicorn5473 They tend to be pretty naughty. I've been dragged, knocked out and bucked off of them. I even know one girl who has broken both arms (at separate times) coming off of a Shetland. They tend to have little big man syndrome.

This is funny, but this actually happened to me when I was trying to work with my horse five parents dumped their six kids on me and I had to give them pony rides with another horse. And everyone was like oh you’re a natural with kids we should do this again etc. and in my mind I was fuming I hated it I just wanted to say no. But I’m a nice person unfortunately LOL

Every day on Tuesdays I have Riding lessons, and you post. What luck!
My daughter started taking riding lessons a few months ago and I could totally see my mom bragging about it to someone like this 🤣 apologies to anyone in advance who may be subject to her bragging hahaha. My daughter has always loved horses and wanted lessons... We made sure to tell her that it's not just about riding around on a "horsey" for fun, it's hard work too and she will be expected to work hard and learn everything she possibly can. I have to say, she has taken to it more seriously than I thought she would and now knows more about horses and tack and horse care than I ever have 😳 she's 7... Can't wait to see how she progresses over the years!

This happened so many times to me. Parents or grandparents wanting to dump their kids on me and telling them they can ride my horse. Nowadays I'm literally like, no your child cannot ride my horse and no I will not give them lessons. Go ahead and buy them one cuz that's so sensible 😆😆😆
I hate when ppl over estimate how long it’s gonna take to learn how to ride like I want horses to be respected and loved and treated like the amazing animals they are it’s like u can’t own a horse until you can ride and take care of the horse properly I just can’t explain it just makes me so mad 😡
No you don't need to know how to ride to "own" a horse. To take care of them properly yes that's the basic. But since when do you HAVE TO ride your horse?
