I love the concept of the scene, but I feel like it’s just a little too small to accomplish its main purpose. I think It’s something that a moc would do really well instead!
I don't know why, but the one foot soldier standing by himself in front of the bunker was really funny every time he showed up. He wanted to be part of the Avengers, lol.
Commenting here because I’m nostalgic. Watched Jang growing up as a kid and I’m glad to see almost 8 years later that’s he’s still putting on these awesome reviews that I loved watching so much as a kid!
A regular rectangular diorama like the Jaws set would suit this scene better. Like you said, linear, all in the same direction. And the black plates look off, you can't call that a base.
This almost looks like a prototype for a collector set, where they have most of what they need for a proof of concept but it's missing some pieces and prints that would actually make it feel complete.
Not a fan of the way the instructions display Hawkeye and black widow on the set. The way they do it makes it seem like the heroes are crossing paths like you mentioned. However it is easy enough to pose those figures in a way that everyone is moving the same direction. This looks much closer to the original scene and what is seen on the box. Definitely helps this set not feel as clunky and I’m certainly happy with it. Great review as always!
I probably would have preferred a set reminiscent of the final battle sculpture at the end of the film. It would have been considerably more expensive, but it would have included Vision, Wanda, Pietro, Ultron, and his army of bots.
The price sucks, but the previous Marvel $100 display set is $60 today at Amazon and Best Buy so this one will be too. It's really disappointing that the minifigures aren't better.
I really wish that the footprints of the Hydra tower and bunker lined up, so that they could be put together elegantly as a side build (like the bits of forest in the A-frame Cabin set). As-is, they look really strange connected together
They should do another version of this concept with the Battle of Sokovia. All they would need to do is add Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Vision, Ultron, and some drones and it could work.
It has always been expensive that is true but this pricing is just ridiculous the build is worth like 20$ most and the fugures being 50$ is rly pushing it To be honest most of the fans, willing to buy this set could just build it with their own already owned parts with slight modifications
There's a lot of value in having all the main Avengers cast available in the one set which I think is really good, much nicer for the consumer and theyr'e all good quality (if a bit under detailed for this tier of set).
Surprise BladeHQ shirt! :D I've been collecting knives longer than I've been into LEGO, so I see the logo so often it took me a while into the video to notice it was in a place I don't normally see it.
Kinda random that they didn't use the CMF Hawkeye face as it is a bit more accurate. Otherwise the most 1:1 head I've seen is that one CMF Soccer Mario fig.
i struggle to justify the price, it feels like a bit of a stretch for the value of the build, but at the same time, there’s a lot of sentimental value to this to me. age of ultron was my introduction to the mcu, the one particular shot this is recreating is truly iconic to me, and i just dont know who’s gonna win out in the battle here, sentimentality or value seeking.
I like the idea of it but I agree that it feels a bit cramped. The building at the front blocks too much IMO. I heard that they're doing ones for Civil War and Endgame. I really want a display of the team up shot in the first Avengers film
I disagree about the linear shot being potentially better, I like how "dynamic" they made this feel. Then again, I don't physically have the set so I can't judge fully. What I like about this is that it's all the OG Avengers in one set with no side build or extras that you may not want. The purpose of this set was giving you all the Avengers as well as a decent way to display then. I'm not an MCU mega-fan (I can't remember the last set I got) but this actually has appeal for someone like me. It's kinda feels like bulk of the MCU all in one set. Side note, though: Iron Man looks really weird turned sideways, because his head is still looking down. I'd definitely bend his back back a little.
Getting the core group of Avengers all together in a dynamic, static yet playable set for a $100 is pretty fair IMO. It's an iconic scene even more so than the No Way Home final battle playset which came in at a little slightly higher price.
Love your videos. I was wondering if you know why lego shifted to putting 4 studs on the back of big figs. I really liked it when they did not. It does not look right. Minifigs do not have them so why do big figs? I agree the mini figures definitely need arm and some need leg printing
It was such a mistake to have the newer bent clear pole have an axle end instead of a regular bar. Very, very limiting, can't be angled, and a bar would fit into axle holes just fine regardless. I've already encountered frustration in MOC making myself, and designers are going to compromise more in the future.
I think this is a really good set but they really should have pushed harder to make those figures better. I think it loses so much value perception on them. Feels like it should be £80 max. And I'm normally cool with the prices.
As one of, like, six verified MCU Hawkeye fans, I’ve been disappointed with every MCU hawkeye minifigure produced after 2016 (so like, two) and it’s entirely because of that hair piece. The original hawkeye figures from 2012-2016 perfectly captured the fauxhawk Jeremy Renner has styled for all of his roles, but particularly hawkeye. While the shaping of this new piece is nice, I personally feel it is edging closer to the comic hawkeye than to the MCU character. Unfortunately the hair color choice also affects the eyebrow color on the head print, so even if I wanted to swap back to the old hairstyle, it would still clash with the head print. I also really liked the original head print for hawkeye figures and think they could have reused a version that took the two separate goggle-less expressions and made them one head to get a truly perfect MCU hawkeye figure.
I'm definitely an MCU super fan, so this set appeals to me, and I happened to just recently rewatch this movie for the 8,000 time, so that scene is fresh in my head [plus you showed it :)( ]. The characters should all be going in the same direction. I think the set gives enough flexibility to change that, as I would love to recreate that slow mo/pause and this set seems to be 80% there. I wonder why Thor has lightening in his eyes though - that wasn't something we saw until the 3rd Thor movie, and he has grey in his beard, which I don't think he's ever had! And Hulk seems to be wearing shorts from End Game - or styled very similar to the pants he wears in that movie. Considering how well they did with the CMF Marvel series, and the price of this set, the figures should be accurate - so that is disappointing. But I do like how one can nearly recreate that scene [and have Thor take out the solider on the tower like he does in the movie]. Would have also liked this $20 cheaper. I am curious how the big fig head fits on normal minifigs and the hair piece too...I hope they stick to this new standard! Liked the split screen you did at the end.
I don’t think the Avengers are SUPPOSED to be “crossing over” in different directions. In the movie scene they’re very clearly all facing the same way. I think all it would take for Hawkeye and Widow is a minor adjustment, but Hulk looks sort of ridiculous just flying through the air facing sideways. Anyway, great example of why Jang’s my go-to Lego reviewer. Very realistic about the pricing and expressing his own opinions. Doesn’t get too into the aftermarket value and whatnot. Is this worth your money to display and/or ply with? You can count on Jang to help you figure it out.
its a nice set, but at £90 in uk i pass for now till its least on sale maybe as dont see set selling out as good choice of figs but none really stand out to me but hulk maybe (possibly because i dont own big fig hulk).
First official Lego tank stoppers implying the existence of Lego tanks. 😂 Edit: bruh, can we please stop getting the blue pins. Ruins the look of the vehicle.
i have no idea why lego has always refused to use qui gon's hair piece for thor it would look way better not to mention the inaccurate face print and arms
They used that piece for him in the Love and Thunder sets, although I agree that it would've been a better choice here. The surfer hair really only makes sense to me for his Thor 1 look.
Supposedly we're getting more like this. We already got the NWH final battle and the Avengers women team up from Endgame. There are rumours about a Civil War airport fight and Endgame portals scene. I really want the Avengers team up from the first Avengers film
What really makes LEGO feel "cheap" to me (in terms of they really try to remove as many parts as humanly possible) over the last couple of years, is the trees. No matter if Harry Potter, Rivendell or even this...TWO stacks on those fir trees? really? And the "big" one with 3.5? I can not unsee that :(
The SPiderman Final Battle / Statue of Liberty is also 100 and has 9 figures, so a comparison is logical. This Avengers set does feel lacking in terms of the builds for the same price and figures. Overpriced, in my opinion.
I do like this set more than 90% of the marvels sets recently. but I’m getting sick of the re hashing of the MCU based sets. Let’s get some more comics based stuff with comics accurate minifigs.
Honestly I don’t see any value in marvel sets anymore unless they’re the ucs style buildings like the sanctum or avengers tower, everything is overpriced and the quality is on the floor for the builds and figures, like how the hell is it 2024 and marvel mini figures still aren’t getting leg printing across the board? Lsw quality is slipping too but it’s way better than marvel
The cross design is just way off, everyone should be jumping in the same direction, iron man and hulk shouldnt be looking off to the side like that it looks silly
Problems I have with this set: 1. Not a very "iconic" scene. That is, you'll probably have to explain to most people what's actually going on here. 2. This movie is bad.
Re: Hulk fig - for a long time now I’ve thought Lego should do a mid-fig, something that’s about 2/3 the scale of a big fig and uses a normal sized head. Big figs are just too big for the characters they’re usually portraying. Yes, we have the long legs now, and they work for things like Jack Skellington and Navi, but they’re no good for beefy characters.
I think those have a great torso design with the v taper from 2 up to 3 studs wide, as well as the thicker arms. The legs present a problem. I almost think they need to have a wider foot spacing, but 3 seems too wide. The hips also seem too thin in comparison to the larger torso. I'm really curious what ideas people have. I've been thinking about this for a long time.
I picked up the Spiderman final battle AND the extra sandman set to go with it for around the same price. It's smaller than this but there is so much more to that combined set than this. The jeep at the end looks oversized to me
Are you saying you got them on sale, so they were around 100 together? Because them together at msrp is quite a lot more than 100. I believe they come to around 160. So it's not a very fair comparison, saying a 160 dollar combo has much more than a 100 dollar set. Of course it does, it's over 150% the price!
I love the concept of the scene, but I feel like it’s just a little too small to accomplish its main purpose. I think It’s something that a moc would do really well instead!
I like the close ups of the set at the end, I don't think you usually have them but they are very nice
Yeah, I think it's a nice adition
I don't know why, but the one foot soldier standing by himself in front of the bunker was really funny every time he showed up. He wanted to be part of the Avengers, lol.
Commenting here because I’m nostalgic. Watched Jang growing up as a kid and I’m glad to see almost 8 years later that’s he’s still putting on these awesome reviews that I loved watching so much as a kid!
A regular rectangular diorama like the Jaws set would suit this scene better. Like you said, linear, all in the same direction. And the black plates look off, you can't call that a base.
Lego would've used that as an excuse to bump up the price
This almost looks like a prototype for a collector set, where they have most of what they need for a proof of concept but it's missing some pieces and prints that would actually make it feel complete.
I gotta say, I like the set more from 360 than the pictures. Still too expensive for me but I can see marvel fans quite happy
Ooh, I like the close up shots at the end! Nice touch!
my favorite lego reviewer for more then 12 years!
I really like the additionally camera for a closer view during the ending thoughts
Not a fan of the way the instructions display Hawkeye and black widow on the set. The way they do it makes it seem like the heroes are crossing paths like you mentioned. However it is easy enough to pose those figures in a way that everyone is moving the same direction. This looks much closer to the original scene and what is seen on the box. oh, so small, but its quite packed
I probably would have preferred a set reminiscent of the final battle sculpture at the end of the film. It would have been considerably more expensive, but it would have included Vision, Wanda, Pietro, Ultron, and his army of bots.
I really like that simple, yet very usefull feature that it's possible to change the gray builds, so It can be a nice playset as well
The price sucks, but the previous Marvel $100 display set is $60 today at Amazon and Best Buy so this one will be too. It's really disappointing that the minifigures aren't better.
BladeHQ?! Jang collects knives too?!!!! 🔥
I really like these new Marvel dioramas they have been coming out with.
Thanks for always staying true and not caring about the people who buy like 30 of these sets to control the market
I really wish that the footprints of the Hydra tower and bunker lined up, so that they could be put together elegantly as a side build (like the bits of forest in the A-frame Cabin set). As-is, they look really strange connected together
This set looks awersome!💣💥 Great display piece, eye catching, conversation starter.
That new cape piece on Thor I’ve never seen before, but man it seems like a good idea, excited to see how they use it moving forward
It ain’t review until Jang reviews it. Best review hands down. 😊
That cape 😍 Man, I hope we get that in black at some point
The print on the shield looks perfectly fine to me.
Thanks for the review JANG. Its a nice set, and your video format was great too.
A nice and well planned set with decent minifigs.
I love winter setting sets✌🏼 snow all day❄️
They should do another version of this concept with the Battle of Sokovia. All they would need to do is add Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Vision, Ultron, and some drones and it could work.
The rubber capes have been so cool lately
I think people give too much value to figures, I would not pay 50 bucks for that lot.
It has always been expensive that is true but this pricing is just ridiculous the build is worth like 20$ most and the fugures being 50$ is rly pushing it
To be honest most of the fans, willing to buy this set could just build it with their own already owned parts with slight modifications
the return of the best reviewer

I almost wish the Jeep for the jurassic park sets was designed like this one, it looks great
Surprise BladeHQ shirt! :D
I've been collecting knives longer than I've been into LEGO, so I see the logo so often it took me a while into the video to notice it was in a place I don't normally see it.

Love your candor Jang!
The only Hulk I have is the very original one so it might be time to upgrade.
Blade HQ shirt is a fun surprise 😁
Is there a jangblades out there 👀
Centerpiece for my lego winter village.
I love the way that Jang says “LEGO has always ‘bean’ expensive.”
Best hulk big fig so far!
i struggle to justify the price, it feels like a bit of a stretch for the value of the build, but at the same time, there’s a lot of sentimental value to this to me. age of ultron was my introduction to the mcu, the one particular shot this is recreating is truly iconic to me, and i just dont know who’s gonna win out in the battle here, sentimentality or value seeking.
Awesome review, Jang, yours are the best!
yes! he is, been been making quality content for a long time.
I like those trees though
the new big fig mold is a missed opportunity for waist rotation
I like the idea of it but I agree that it feels a bit cramped. The building at the front blocks too much IMO. I heard that they're doing ones for Civil War and Endgame. I really want a display of the team up shot in the first Avengers film
I think this looks really good when it's all combined together, but idk if It's $100+ good you know.

That play set is technically $40 more because the Sandman head comes separately. No idea why they split the set in two 😂
@@superjlk_9538 because money 🤑🤑
Kind of... Cap and Thor are really low effort minifigures
Love your videos. I was wondering if you know why lego shifted to putting 4 studs on the back of big figs. I really liked it when they did not. It does not look right. Minifigs do not have them so why do big figs? I agree the mini figures definitely need arm and some need leg printing
I feel you are correct on the price Jang.
5:11 It’s a feature 😉 used gum storage

Do the C-3PO next!
Please :)
Love your videos
I would LOVE to see this as the Deadpool Wolverine opening scene. But that will never happen.
I'm definitely an MCU super fan, so this set appeals to me, and I happened to just recently rewatch this movie for the 8,000 time, so that scene is fresh in my head [plus you showed it :)( ]. Liked the split screen you did at the end.
I feel like Thor looks less like Chris Hemsworth and more like Andy Serkis with the face print.
I appreciate the review, but not worth Leog's license tax, keep up the good work 👍
I'm more interested in the landscape. Not many sets are in winter that aren't Christmas theme.
Sweet they put this iron man in a pack with his iron legion, thats the only figure i need 100$ for this is crazy
I don’t think the Avengers are SUPPOSED to be “crossing over” in different directions. In the movie scene they’re very clearly all facing the same way. Unrelated to the video, but I just noticed that RE/100 Guncannon Detector in the background there! What did you think of that build?
This fight scene was civil war before Civil war.
Remember my fellow Lego fans….
*Never pay full price*
Came here from the Short!
Another wait for a sale set.
So it begins!!!
its a nice set, but at £90 in uk i pass for now till its least on sale maybe as dont see set selling out as good choice of figs but none really stand out to me but hulk maybe (possibly because i dont own big fig hulk).
I don't know how to say it but captain America looks so goofy in lego form. The chin strap practically blending in with the helmet, it's so silly.
First official Lego tank stoppers implying the existence of Lego tanks. 😂
Edit: bruh, can we please stop getting the blue pins. Ruins the look of the vehicle.
Looks EPIC fun set great minifigs enjoyed your build on twitch ch awesome review jang 👍
i have no idea why lego has always refused to use qui gon's hair piece for thor it would look way better not to mention the inaccurate face print and arms
Oh my days, that would be perfect
They used that piece for him in the Love and Thunder sets, although I agree that it would've been a better choice here. The surfer hair really only makes sense to me for his Thor 1 look.
It's not bad however no real draw for Me to buy this and also isn't it a bit late to bring out a Age Of Ultron set?
i really dont like the rubber capes, and i hope they're not moving in the direction of replacing the cloth ones :/
Scene should be bigger with more trees.
a cool looking set but i dont really feel they captured the scene and there are more iconic scenes from other MCU movies
Supposedly we're getting more like this. We already got the NWH final battle and the Avengers women team up from Endgame. There are rumours about a Civil War airport fight and Endgame portals scene. I really want the Avengers team up from the first Avengers film

Sry, but I have a hard time understanding your estamation of the figs at 50 bucks, when Cap and Black Widow are recycles from a 15 bucks set.
50 dollars for just the figures seems like way too much even for lego. id give them 30 max
Iconic moments should always be in diorama form.
nice!
Tis looks like Christmas set..
Not a big fan of lego Marvel, however, this might be a forst day buy :)
The cross design is just way off, everyone should be jumping in the same direction, iron man and hulk shouldnt be looking off to the side like that it looks silly
Rise of Ultron is underrated
Compared to what Disney has done to the mcu now I would agree
Figures aren't premium enough and display isn't good enough for the cost.
😊
Problems I have with this set:
1. Not a very "iconic" scene. That is, you'll probably have to explain to most people what's actually going on here.
2. This movie is bad.
My sentiments precisely 😂

Yes, we have the long legs now, and they work for things like Jack Skellington and Navi, but they’re no good for beefy characters.
Look at Mr Incredible in game. We need physical figs like that!
Do you think Nexo Knights Axl or Mr Incredible(game version) would be big enough? Or should it be something totally unique from that?
I agree. Thank you for bringing this up! I experimented with this for a custom 9th sister minifigure a while back.
I think those have a great torso design with the v taper from 2 up to 3 studs wide, as well as the thicker arms. The legs present a problem. Not a playset so in my eyes its 2/10 - Points for good looks.
$100 is a little much but nice looking nonetheless ❤
I picked up the Spiderman final battle AND the extra sandman set to go with it for around the same price. It's smaller than this but there is so much more to that combined set than this.

$80 tops.
