Bird certainly made himself seem unstoppable, when he told the opposing players exactly what he was going to do but they still couldn't stop him. No empty bragging or intimidating, just pure excellence.

Zlatan Ibrahimović was/is like that, too. The dude has an ego that towers above nearly every other professional athlete, but when the man says he's gonna score 2 goals before the match starts, he means it, and he will do it!

Larry talked the talk because he could walk the walk. The word for Bird was: 'RESPECT'. Don't think for one minute that opposing players (and coaches!) on ALL teams didn't respect what Larry Bird could do.

Man, I could watch Bird Stories forever. Dunno why. I watched him play. Never knew he was a trash talker at the time. Seemed quiet on the court, from the distance of TV land anyway. Courtside seats during that era woulda been somethin'.
Always remember the time he came out after hurting his back. Didn't think he would be back, but the impact he had on the game when he came back. Never seen anything like it my life. One man, comes back after an injury and the entire game changes. But, you knew it would. You could feel the letdown in the opponents. "Damn, we're up now, but Larry's back." You knew what would happen...and it did. It was really like a movie when Superman finally shows up and saves the day. lol
Love the Vids. Good job ;)

I'm guessing not back in the day. All other sports are just hobbies to get back to Basketball here. 12 of the 14 largest HS basketball gyms in the US are in Indiana. Friday nights in the fall and winter, you're at the gym watching HS play. Saturday, you're watching youth travel ball. It's just what we do.

Being a piston fan for years when the pistons were the pistons I never heard the full comment that was made by Rodman and Isaiah. But knowing Isaiah he he was laughing because he knew that Larry was one of the best ball player's ever. Bird got upset when you heard it but I think looking back he realizes what Isaiah was actually intimating. I got more respect for Isaiah now that I heard the actual recording. I know he knew better. Those were the best days of basketball I believe. They did more than just dunk the ball which any person with heights can complete.

I do not watch sports. I have been to a few baseball games in a few basketball, like I won the tickets. If I had to choose basketball is my favorite because it's fast. But again I don't watch sports but I find these Larry Bird videos extremely interesting. I'm not saying he's the best. But I do believe he's the best all-around. And for some reason I really like this videos and I can't get enough. I'm 55 years old and now I know who Larry Bird is. My favorite quote from any of this is from magic Johnson. He said Larry Bird said there will always be another Larry Bird magic Johnson said you're a liar there will never be another Larry Bird❤

Larry Bird's approach always struck me as somewhat analogous to that of the great Mariano Rivera. Mariano had exactly one pitch. You knew full well what he was going to deal you. Same thing as Bird telling opponents exactly what he's proposing to do, then doing it. With both of these cats, that foreknowledge mattered exactly zero.

Thanks for the time and extra effort you put into your videos. I have been a fan of Larry legend for........oh crap! I'm ancient. Anyway, I appreciate the videos you're uploading, they're not just a cookie cutter product that is the same as every other video out there.
So I have a request. Would you consider doing a video on pistol Pete Marovich? Such an amazing player who was ahead of his time. Let's help keep him from getting lost in the shuffle of time.

I believe Mr. Larry Bird lived by that motto.

Larry Bird is the Greatest All-Around Player Ever!!! Greatest Small Forward Ever. I will take Larry Bird in his prime(84, 85, 86, 87) over anyone even MJ. TOP FIVE ALL-TIME - Magic, MJ, Bird, Russell, Wilt. Nobody's beating that team!!!

Bird would crush today's NBA . Can't be touched today. When you played it was physical as hell.

Grew up in Boston watching Bird as a kid. I was truly blessed. Talk about clutch. I would take him at the end of the game over any player. Thanks for these videos.
