I just bought one for 150. It is sitting in the bed of my truck. I need to get a sail for it and clean and paint it. Need to find a trailer or something so I can use my truck. And I need a mooring for it. I just felt it was a good deal so I got it. We shall see if I was right. I am in Quincy Mass and I want to sail out to "castle island".
@@scottraber8497 looking for 1500. Has redone centerboard, all new running rigging, trailer overhauled, transom mount outboard bracket, and a really nice cover.
We sailed this Widgeon for about 3 years before we upgraded to an O'day 222. It was a great learning experience in both sailing and in boat repair/maintenance/what to watch for.
Thanks for posting! Looking buying one of these and I'll probably have to do some similar things.
Deffinetely a fun little boat. Love the older boats for the nostalgia!
