One of these rare stories where the forced marriage to 2FL turns out a blessing for ML and FL.
He adores her but his life is not his own, we often take our freedom for granted But don't give up hope on this, it works out nicely. Lovely drama.
He acts like he wants to protest, but in the end he gives up and surrenders.
I hate that kind of stuff so much. Treating women like possessions and pawns in a game for power. No one should be teated like that.

I think that she should of dumped the cad and gone back home. She was promised that she would be an only wife and not a concubine for his second wife to bully.
Fortunately his primary wife and the Female Lead become great friends, no bullying. The primary wife and Male Lead both do as promised, the wife helps FL learn everything she needs to know, and FL is eventually promoted to primary wife.
It's a great story. Well worth watching.
The Male Lead really doesn't have a choice regarding this marriage. He is in the fight to be Crown Prince, and the brother he is fighting against would hurt the country if selected. So he has to obey his father; in this instance the best thing for the country overrules his personal happiness.

She should of been given a divorce from him and his lousy family. She never wanted to be in the bride parade and choosing in the first place. I think that he's an A.
I know she says she will leave, but I don't really think she can do it. She was forced to be in the bride selection, and forced to marry, so she will he forced to stay unless the King orders the prince to divorce her. Which he won't do.
Other episodes show she isn't even allowed to send out letters to her family, because it's against palace rules.
The prince, the Male Lead, doesn't have a choice regarding his marriage to the princess either. He is fighting to be Crown Prince against a brother who would favor personal gain over doing the best thing for the country. Wanting to be Crown Prince is not really about the desire for power, but knowing he is fit for the job, and the desire to help others.
It's heartbreaking, but sometimes doing something for the greater good is more important than personal happiness.
Fortunately the new wife and ML both keep their wedding night promises, and the FL and new wife become great friends.
The whole series is funny, romantic, fun, and well worth the watch.
I've seen the whole thing but, it's still upsetting. There are other stories where the bride to be commits suicide instead of marrying a Prince she can't stand. The family then sends her twin sister to replace her sister and saying that she has to marry to save the entire family. Of course the Prince has his people do some snooping and finds this out. The first sister loved the older brother and that Prince wanted her out of spite.
