- This is how Wrinkle the Duck was born
It’s almost her 2nd birthday and I’m beginning to reflect on that day she entered my life.
It’s been a long and twisty journey so far,
But it was worth every moment.
So for my love, Wrinkle the Duck
As an early 2nd birthday gift,
Today, I have written a poem:
Despite the ups and downs
We were together
The whole way through
I wouldnt trade
For anything
these times ive spent with you

I have ducks and chickens we got rid of the ducks because we couldn't take it anymore they are littteral poop cannons, you just don't know and they smell but they are farm ducks but still

Hatching a duck is the most rewarding thing I've ever done. When I met my Wobbles peeping at me through the shell, I felt a deeper love than any other pet I've ever had. 💜

Wrinkle the Duck was next door for about a month here in central Florida...his owner...red shoes and all... was here with Wrinkle, and their white van across the street. We had the pleasure of watching them out in the yard every day... til they left one day. Hoping they come back again, as I get a kick out of watching those two. So funny watching how this duck is so attached to his human.

I’ve never heard the bird wake up song, but the video said it was in 2.5x speed when they sang the song, so if that was the bird song in normal speed then something isn’t right.

It's a correction, jackass; it's not a political statement.
We used to raise ducks, chicken and pigs (and actually a lot more animals) in my family house. We had a big property with animals. I lived with my grandpa and he would wake me up any time of the night when they started hatching/birthing.
As a small child I can say it was very magical, and it thought me to respect living things more.

Just make sure you realize it is a big commitment. A lot of people get ducks and change their mind, the sad thing is they dump them in lakes ect and they can not survive there. I am very happy that the sweet Wrinkle is having such a great life, his owners are great people.

That is awesome. You are absolutely her daddy. My best pets were acquired within days of hatch; I'd LOVE to do this someday! People don't realize when another sentient being is born into a human household, they learn to be....people. Sentient, self aware, communicative and fearless of the human world. Wrinkle! OMG.....that little pip! Those are the LONGEST minutes...but you can hear her loud and clear! Poor tired little wrinkle...but she already hears daddy's voice encouraging her. By his hand, she gets all her food, water, and warmth. THANK YOU for sharing her birth story!

I watched other videos about Wrinkle before this, (cuz I’m late.) and Wrinkle has grown so much!
And that’s how, ladies and gentlemen, a beautiful friendship between a duck and a human started.
imagine being a little duckling, hatching from your egg and finding yourself in a home full of such love and warmth

Can you imagine waking up for the first time ever as a literal baby, and the first thing you have to do is punch your way out of a bone shell? Mad respect to ducklings.
Granted, I'm pretty sure ducklings get more time to develop before waking up for the first time compared to humans, since they don't have the head-vagina problem. But still, it's a little mind-boggling to think about.
My first encounter with wrinkle's video was watching him run the New York Marathon and fell in love. However this video has stole my entire heart. Wrinkles is so adorable and so are his duck parents. Thanks for sharing

Right as Wrinkle was about to completely come out of the egg, my mind was blown at how her little body could fit in such a small space like that. I actually thought she’d be smaller but she’s so adorable and grew up into a beautiful Duck. Reminds me of my pet cockatiel 'Baby'. He was as tiny too and hardly had any feathers. Although he is not with us anymore, it felt good reminiscing his chickling days through this clip. Thank you it was really really nice seeing wrinkle hatch❤

My first 2 ever duckies who are literally my children hatched September 8th 2020 , too :D I saw them grow from tiny little wiggle worms in their eggs to the wonderful man and woman they are today. They are married and gave me a grandson in February. LIFE FORCE

You might want to get eggs from different providers/farms/locations/sellers to prevent incest, just in case... The offspring can still be affected by incest & have genetic disorders (especially if compounded over multiple generations of incest).
