Went fishing today, Feb 17. It was completely pact, but only 1 bite in 4 hours, sadly. Pond 6 was full. Pond 1 was full, and pond 3 was empty, so if you're going to fish, go to Pond 3.
@@elliotdraxler8500 No. It's at the discretion of the park host. Typically it's pond 6 but they changed things up this time due to overcrowding at pond 6.

Dont bother with salish at this point bro its been ridiculously busy there so all the fish will be gone here in a a couple weeks most likely, i did limit out twice there but dwindling numbers for sure@@northwestweekenders
I usually will rig up 2-3 different leader lengths (one about 2 feet, one about 3 feet and one about 4 feet) and find what's hitting. Usually do best on the longer leaders though.
Unfortunately they don't tell you the exact date anymore but we find out by just showing up often or through friends. After a while you start to recognize a pattern of which days certain lakes are stocked but even then they're trying to change it up nowadays.
Unfortunately there is really no way of knowing anymore unless you can recognize stocking patterns at certain lakes. They don't tell you the specific day to try to avoid people following the stocking truck and overcrowding. What people notice over time is that some lakes are known for getting fish on say Mondays or Tuesdays and some on Wednesdays and so on but even then it doesn't always happen as expected
I was sad i missed the fun but looks like a great day man! Nice video
Appreciate you!
Great local trout fishing. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Good luck out there.
Nice work can’t wait they start stocking here in march those are some nice fish be good smokers to
Absolutely. Can't wait!
Good stuff bro!! Ill have to make the drive out there eventually

Do ponds 1 and 3 get stocked every stocking?

I was there when the truck pulled up. Lady said they only stocked 450 this time though. I was there this morning too. Too bad i missed you
Yes. That's what I heard as well!
A budy of mine said the following day they put fish in pond 1. He said he got a limit in pond 1

@@northwestweekenders pretty much. All the years I’ve fished it I’ve never known of fishing pond 1 for trout
Those are some nice good size fish. I wonder where the hatchery is that they raise them in? Anyway thanks for the fishing video!
Some came from Roaring River and some from Leaburg fish hatchery. That's what I was told!
I go to school at UO and you should def try fishing the wasters down here!
Where abouts? We've done Alton Baker and the river, JC pond, and beyond to Dorena, Cottage Grove, Dexter.
@@northwestweekenders is there an easy way for me to find those videos? Im trynna find the good spots at those places down here

Wha size hooks do you use? And single or treble?
Single, size 10-14.
what is your average leader length for that pond? We have tried there a few times and never were successful.

Get out there while you can! 😂 It's extremely crowded.

Get over there soon and join the masses 😂
Let's Go!
Great couple days of fishing! 😁
The bass arein trees
We'll definitely target bass in the Spring and Summer this year!
do you think it will still be good if i go tomorow
No doubt!
How'd it go?
how was walter wirth? i went there today and didnt see anyone catch anything the whole time we were there.
Two trips last week and caught a few each time. Slow for sure.
Dude you have to teach her how to set the hook.
I'll let Frank answer that one! 🤣
Spent over 5 hours there today, nothing, not even a bite, a lot people there though.
Dang! Anyone catching at all?
Same here. I spent 3 hours there today and only caught a little bass. I didn't see anyone catch a trout at all. Very odd.
