The 1.6 GT TDI has got to be the best GT variant ever. Its not just fast, its quite a workhorse as well. Bought mine in 2014 and I don't think I will ever be able to sell it. And yes, there's wheelspin even in 3rd gear on full throttle even in the stock car. Soft compound tyres get rid of that.
The owner is a genius.. he knows that stock suspension and brakes are good for daily usage..

For city traffic setup yea stock is fyn but the point of changing the turbo nd the fun part is frm mid to topend then tz upgrdes like brakes nd suspn is must thingy

@@adarshbhavsar122 try decarbonisation and getting the injectors etc cleaned, also check if things such air filter, spark plugs are clean and new
Leave the reliability.... That torque monster is a gem ... It literally changed the way we look at diesel engines when it proppllled the 2010 Vento from 0-100 in 11 ish seconds ...
In 2013 when VW discontinued the 1.6moi polo - we hardly had a performance hatch - then came the mighty 1.6 gt TDI .. even I wasn't a fan of 1.2 tsi with the DSG ....
people think its not reliable engine and had injector issues. but its not true, they used wrong fuel and messed up the engine. I have same car from 2014 and I have been using Liqui Molly Diesel additive, and the engine runs as good as the first day. I have been hesitant to do mod, but I think now its the time. One mistake I did was to change the infotainment system, and it hurts me after years now.
@@Eren-da-Jaeger yeah some particular period have the issued ... My uncle's 1.6 still runs great ...it was a 2014 model year one modded ..it runs solid
@@cyrilmatthew2995 Actually none of them had issue in itself. My 2nd level boss, has vento with same engine and did not use diesel additive at all during those early years and had to replace two injectors worth 40k+. After that he was asking me multiple times, like what is that thing your were using.
Our Indian normal diesel did not have proper sulphur compounds in it due to which this was happening and VW gave the guide to use Premium fuel to counter that, but people don't want to use that.
Stupid people even if they buy Ferrari they will try to use kerosene in it.
@@Eren-da-Jaeger Can u give some tips to prevent from failing? And what do u mean by premuim fuel, which brand's diesel is good and u r using.. I used to put shell diesel from very a long time, since last year they have increased the price so i have switched to HP diesel..
@@carzzy8646 don't fill fuel at random pumps on the highway just fill fuel from trusted local pumps or company outlets on highways!!!!! But the continental injectors are prone to failure if the running of the car is less!!!!!
There are some turkish guys on youtube doing 240kmph with a Garret Turbo swap & tune and a couple of other mods on 1.6tdi polo.
Even the stock 1.6 tdi wheel spins in second gear due to its 250nm torque.
I did it but cannot go abv 220kmph 😬

I own a vento 1.6 tdi and use it as my daily driver. Only headache is those continental injectors, they go bad and cost a fortune
Suggest you add Purge from Liqui Moly to the fuel - would keep them injectors healthy!
How much does it cost and how much does the injectors last ?

Basically stg3 setup real output feels frm cr177 turbo bcoz 1.6tdi stock borgwarner turbo stg2 can be pushed to 160bhp wth full systm xhst nd intke but not gud for reliabilty in the longterm. I prefer cr177 turbo for who looks much more gain frm stg1 or stg2 ,the indian spec tdis one reason is short gear ratio for the final drive 1.6tdi nd 1.5tdi can be tuned to less turbo lag setup ,so preferably cr177 gt1549vz or abv hybrid wth injector nd fuel pump upgrde setup even the gb upgrde for more topend

Hey TDH I just bought an Altroz turbo and i was wondering if it's possible to tune it to Nexon spec i.e 120hp and 175nm.
I know its not a Direct injection motor and so i am wanting to just improve the torque on it.
Just get a stage 1 remap and that's it.
What's the overall cost for the mods ?
"Committed to it.." says it all. After a certain time (1.5 lac kms later) one realises that it isn't practical in daily grind .. specially that clutch...

Not too sure where you got this information from. Tuning doesn't increase maintenance cost if you have built the car properly, tuned it properly and have added all the supporting mods. Reliability again, totally depends if you have spent your money on the right parts and things. Reduced fuel efficiency again, a common myth that we have busted on our channel multiple times, go watch our playlist called "Kitna Deti Hai?". Break down again, same as reliability. Resale value, partially true, but totally depends on what the car has. Do watch the channel so all of this incorrect information can be cleared 🙏
