Put my boat away for the winter season. Everything worked fine when trimming up and down before storage. I went to start it today after it’s long winter nap. Now it won’t trim up but will down. I will be trying this tomorrow !! Thank you

worked for me in June 2022! Thanks for sharing, I cleaned the contacts with muriatic acid and sand paper and then applied some waterproof grease to the o-rings. Only my trailer and trim down were working previously and now the trim up works perfect. Awesome video!

Thank you, had some problem. Outdrive stayed up, pump worked but drive didn't go down. Same noise as when it reaches bottom. After trying couple of times while steering and driving it finally went. I guess I need to add some fluid.
Also wasnt sure if it limited on the downside, it doesn't. Now I m reassured 😉

this is interesting...
looks to me from the design of this switch its meant to be able to trim up a lot further than you have it set to. There is plenty more range of the contacts to allow for this and also prevent the hydraulic panic at the bottom which you might not hear/feel in the water. Isn't that what the top and bottom bolts are for? (to adjust the range of where the center (rotating) contact is falling off the stationary ones?) or i guess just rotate the main cylinder a bit clockwise before reinserting it?
i guess what i'm asking is what is the benefit of limiting your trim up this aggressively?

I think I need to do this. Mine goes down, but when going up you can hear a relay click but nothing happens. If you start the boat it will then work. I’m thinking the vibrations help the contact.

Thanks, I figured there had to be a limit switch, start with the simple stuff first. Person I bought the boat from said it worked one min then quit ( luckily in up position).

Trim works up and down but trailer button does not? Have you checked the fuses at the trim pump? I believe there are two fuses.
