- I recently viewed two apartments in Scalea, Calabria, Italy. This is the first apartment I saw. I am not a realtor; I am a nurse who lives in the United States, and I love Italy! My Grandmother's family came from Calabria, so it holds a special place in my heart! I've been studying Italian for 6 years now, and I have always wanted to purchase a second home in Italy.
I finally made the leap and bought an apartment in Scalea in May of 2024. I will show another video of that property and future videos of renovations, the town & traveling in Italy.

The place looks pretty nicely renovated and has a great view, but the condition of the building exterior and grounds are fairly poor. It looks like it has suffered a long period of neglect, which would make me question if they *really* intend to follow through with the exterior repairs they promise. You were wise to pass on this one! But thanks for posting, it's nice to see what's out there, both good and bad.
@@dershed I think they will do the exterior soon. The building that is behind this one was recently renovated on the exterior and looks really nice, so hopefully they will do it soon. I have a Short Video that shows that other building. I'm definitely happy with the size and location of the one I picked. Thanks for watching and commenting. :)
