Three things come to my mind while watching this. 1. This is some of the coolest shit I've ever seen. 2. Garo's CGI got a lot better over time 3. What the hell is Rita Repulsa doing in my Garo?
Tbh, I felt like Makai Senki have better CGI than their latest movie, Gekko no Tabibito. Versus Road doesnt seem to have good CGI either but that series relies more on practical effect so it doesnt really need CGI. Makai no Hana has some solid good CGi tho
tbh Toei Toku VFX is more raw, it seems unrealistic sometimes but still looks flashy and catchy. while Garo's Omnibus japan VFX is looks more realistic, yet there's still more cool aspect that supported with the awesome choreograph
Now imagine the Lord of the Rings and GARO crossover, with Makai Knights ended up on Middle-Earth, away from their homeworld, Earth. What's your opinion?
this is why i prefer japanese fantasy japanese are the only ones that actually use creativity in fantasy. Games like Final fantasy, bayonetta have rly outstanding design of characters, monsters and magic. This is what makes Garo so awesome that they put the same effort here. The same with games like final fantasy, bayonetta, namco tales series, ar tonelico. They actually use imagination in monster and character design. In contrast to america and european fantasy that is based on using the same formula, over and over again. the only non japanese director that is using some imagination in fantasy movies is Guillermo del Toro

初代組は初期値がやたら高かったイメージ、ファーストシーズンは鋼牙のメンタルとか零のメンタルが少し低かったくらいで魔戒戦記じゃ双方克服してなお成長してるし
闇照は初期値が低めなかわりにひよっこがちゃんとした騎士になっていく過程を見られて良かったは良かったんだけどね…
riona 最早変身する事自体が必殺技みたいな風潮が原作レヴェルで存在して居ますし御寿司❣️
