    The first thing they should do is cut their prices in half. Not having European and UK access makes it worth less than a Caribbean passport, and the pricing should reflect that.

    • @matthewnirenberg
      @matthewnirenberg 8 місяців тому

      They should only cut their price by 33% and abolish the requirement to have x amount in the bank - what's wrong with escrow or having the agent hold the money? The reason I say only by 33% is they are one of the only 0% PIT, 0% CIT countries in the world and they've successfully refused the rest of the world's demands to become a high tax country.
      No visa free to the EU or UK - boo hoo, it means nothing to anyone who can afford to do CBI. That access was only for tourism purposes - i.e. you couldn't work, invest or attend conferences - you need visas for those things unless you have citizenship to an EU country within Schengen. Everyone keeps acting like visa-free is so important. Literally anyone who can afford to do CBI already has another passport they can travel which is either an EU passport or has visa free for tourism to Europe.
      Returning to my other point, I understand that they don't take the money up front but their "you must have the donation amount plus x amount in the bank" makes it painful to do their CBI program. Literally every other program lets the agent hold the money or uses escrow and don't care how much you have in the bank beyond the CBI amount.
      In all seriousness, how many 0% PIT, 0% CIT countries actually exist that aren't run by radical and intolerant regimes... Only Vanuatu and Monaco, Dubai is now high tax... Sure a few other places have 0% PIT but they have CIT.
      Vanuatu's value is its tax status and its location - if you're from AU, NZ, Singapore, China, etc. and do business in Oceania, its ideal - zero tax, centrally located and a major shipping freight hub. Banking is ANZ or Vanuatu's national bank - if you're already with ANZ you only have to have your account moved to the Vanuatu branch. This is key as banking is the hardest part of any CBI - if you go to the Caribbean, your banking options are very limited as many aren't good or don't permit a lot of foreign transfers/payments.
      One thing that many people forget about CBI programs - the "west" - CANZUK & CUNA tolerate them but are making life harder as they only want high tax countries to exist so people can't "go where they're treated best" as too many people are leaving the "west". The EU has already declared that ANY CBI passport holder of any nationality known for doing CBI (Chinese, Indian, etc.) will all be required to get visas unless they have other passports that grant them visa-free as the EU claims, like the UK, that CBI was being used to sneak spies in. As for how they know who did CBI - all CBI programs submit information to the "west" as part of their reporting program, verification of the applicants current passports, also, there's a reason your place of birth is listed on all passports - this helps the EU & UK to enforce this restriction.
      Oh and once ETIAS starts, the EU will require all citizens of CBI countries to apply for Schengen Visas as citizens of CBI countries won't qualify for ETIAS. The only way that citizens of CBI countries can get around such a restriction is by being a citizen of a country that can use ETIAS or by being the citizen of an EU country.

    I don’t know if you guys realized but Vanuatu 🇻🇺 isn’t on good terms with many larger countries because they aren’t doing what they want.Vanuatu also has seen a lot of other small nations become more commercialized in a sense yes Vanuatu will become more developed in the future but not in a sense where they will be open to allowing corporations like Apple,google or even amazon or maybe Walmart into there country.Unfortunately when u don’t support certain things many other nations do you get put on the naughty list this is why every time a person search or see any advertisement about where to go to for vacation there not commercializing Vanuatu 🇻🇺 nor Fiji or not even Dominica.And I urge everyone to always pay close attention to that because as these governments are trying to become more involved and push the same thing down our throats those islands and countries will be where you will want to be while the rest of the world will be filled up with corporations,becoming more over populated you will want to be somewhere where you are on the outside looking in and able to observe from the distance.

Vanuatu was already doing the right things and when you have a EU or even Australian, Canadian or British passport why would the restrictions on Vanuatu even effect you? Just have a EU passport for 1st passport and then travel with that and then whenever you travel to Vanuatu or need to use Vanuatu passport use it then? If your getting a bank account just leave out Vanuatu because how would they know and why does it even matter? More countries be like Vanuatu please

    Can you not just travel using another passport and not use your Vanuatu passport for travel?

    • @matthewnirenberg
      @matthewnirenberg 8 місяців тому

      Absolutely correct. You pick whichever passport you legally have that works best for where you're going. If you're going somewhere where you're a citizen then you have to use that countries passport to enter and exit. If I go to the EU, I have to use my passport from the EU country of which I'm a citizen as its the only valid passport for the EU in such a situation.
      When I go somewhere else, I look at how long and whether or not visa free is possible - then I go on the passport that gives the best options.
      For example, pretend that a person had the following passports:
      * Australia
      * Italy
      If that person went to Vanuatu, they'd use their Italian passport as it gives them the better option. Whilst both are visa-free to Vanuatu, the Australian passport only has 30 days whilst the Italian passport has 90 days.

      Dominica lost access to UK as they were selling a lot of passports to Chinese. They are still majority of clients for this program. So I'd say chances are slim to none in short and medium term. As for EU, it is widely believed the 5 CBI Caribbean countries should not loose access due to the deal they made with US. Make what you will with it..

      Cyprus won't be much of anything until Turkey get the hell out of there. Turkey invaded and ruined the place, their insistence of it being theirs is why huge areas are permanently locked off, why families can't take their possessions that are in the DMZ as they were forced out over night. I think that the EU should require Turkey to leave Cyprus as a condition of admission to the EU.

    Freehold is non existence there and leases are maximum of 75 years. If you're thinking of your children, then it is problematic.

    • @matthewnirenberg
      @matthewnirenberg 8 місяців тому

      It may change in the future, but even if it doesn't - get a long term rental or run a business which can be sold when the 75yrs is up, whoever buys it can get a new lease. Whilst annoying for those who want to have their family have one property and live there forever, there are ways around it and it does prevent foreign investors and corporations buying and keeping land off the market whilst never doing anything with it. In Australia, there's huge areas that are literally falling apart because they're owned by foreign companies to make getting visas to Australia easier. No one lives there, no one maintains the areas I'm talking about and they haven't been on the market in 25yrs. This is also seen with apartments and why most apartment buildings are empty except for all but a few tenants.
