1. Context 2. Background knowledge 3. Conditions 4. Figurative language - Metaphors In Islam it's not allowed to hit any human on the face. It requires a further understanding.
1. The hadith doesn't encourage to do that. 2. It says IF YOU were to throw a pebble and that would happen then you wouldn't be sinful in the sight of Allah. 9:02 You always lie, as always, you never come up with sources, just blah blah without providing any evidence or a source. Muslims do not interpret the hadith as you said. Muslims understood from the hadith that Allah commanded them to deliver his divine message and light to all people. If there is a barrier or a group of people that prevent this light from reaching the rest of the people, those people who prevent the light from reaching the rest of the people must be fought, not as you used to lie and say.

Never seen Dr. Shabir in difficulty of explaining issues than today. If we let the Quran Speak, Then Surah 3:151 speaks loud, Surah 2:191 speaks louder and Surah 9:5 speaks loudest. It's the word of God. God has no timelines or seasons so that we start putting his word into context, that the word was for the people of that time, if we do that, we will be saying. The Quran does not apply to our times then. **Massacre of Banu Qurayza** Attack against the Banu Qurayza people. 600-800 young and old men were beheaded under the supervision of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) how do we separate him from such acts.
Surah 9:4 As for the polytheists who have honoured every term of their treaty with you and have not supported an enemy against you, honour your treaty with them until the end of its term. Surely Allah loves those who are mindful ˹of Him˺.

“You don’t annex territories without violent means”. That’s true. But the myth of Islamic expansion is that people became Muslims not by the sword, but by the “beauty “ of Islam. Both can’t be true of course.
I agree. Problem is not in Quran It is the way IMAMS interpret it. When Muslims came to Kashmir, Firdausi said "Bur ruh a zamin ist, Amy ast, any ast" Read history, and see for your self. When Pakistan was made, they kicked all the Hindus out. Why? We are KAFIR. The Prime Minister of Pakistan has been married 6 times. According to this this behavior is HALAL. 3000 years of slavery.
Because there is no context around why the prophet pbuh said this hadith, was this at a time of war, was he faced with a grave threat and he is replying to that threat, a bit like winston churchill speech about fighting the german on the beaches, was churchill gona fight the germans if they invaded england or was he gona fight germans wherever they are and for all times, same analogy
Because the Quran contradicts itself about being peaceful. Don't forget the authorzed use of force against non-believers for the purpose of extorting money - 9:28-29.
@@mohamedsheikhmohamed5411 I condemn all unnecessary violence. Except for self-defense, only God can ordain judgement. Man does not have the right to impose his will upon another. The Hadith is there but there’s context. Read the seerah and Islamic history and see how Muslims were with non Muslims. Umar bin khattab ra gave refuge to the Jews and Christian’s in Palestine and allowed the access to their holy sites. You have to realize when and why the Hadith was mentioned. Under which context. The Arabs at time of prophet salallahu 3layhiwassalaam were a very tribal society who were also warring tribes so there’s a context for the verses and Hadith. War is war if you look at the crusades they would say either convert to Christianity or we will kill the heathen saracens and this is history. Warfare has a set of rules for certain periods that it is necessary to be more strategic during periods of warfare. If you read the seerah you see the quraysh travelled thousands of miles just to declare war on the prophet salallahu 3layhiwassalaam and his companions to even where they moved when they migrated to yathrib. If you look at the invasion of iraq George bush said the crusades are back and many of the us soldiers were saying horrendous inhumane things and did those things in iraq and sanctioned it all over muslim majority countries in the Middle East. So I don’t think we have to necessarily try and prove a point. There’s a reason the Quran came to prophet salallahu 3layhiwassalaam and the Arabs at the time it did as if you look at pre Islamic Arabia it was worst of the worst. The Arabs were tribal, alcoholics, mostly pagan, womanizers. Injustice was rampant and consuming unlawful wealth off ppls backs was known so the Arabs were an example because we deal with the same stuff to this day we are just more populated and have technology to know what’s happening. Bottom line a free license to kill indiscriminately and murder?. Islam is the last if not only religion that will support that as if you look at the seerah and the Islamic conquests after the death of prophet salallahu 3layhiwassalaam the muslims were contacted by ppl all over to help them from the Roman Catholics st the time. So it’s not a matter of oh should we try and rectify this Hadith or not, look at the context and when it was said and what circumstances were there for it to be said

rubbish, doesnt matter if you think it is sahih or not, you have no idea how hadith literature works, my suggestion stick to your own religion leave alone that which you have a superficial understanding, cos you will embarrass yourself
1. Context
2. Background knowledge
3. Conditions
4. Figurative language - Metaphors
In Islam it's not allowed to hit any human on the face.
It requires a further understanding.
5.. Distract from embarrassment with 1,2,3,4.
1. The hadith doesn't encourage to do that.
2. It says IF YOU were to throw a pebble and that would happen then you wouldn't be sinful in the sight of Allah.
If a man - or he said someone - peeped at you without your permission and you threw a pebble at him that gouged out his eye, you would not be at fault.
Your a snake in terms of how you quoted the hadith
You used the word and
Very deceptive lol
This is what other scholara cant address
they too afraid to be seen as revisionist dr shabir is very brave to address hadith which are misunderstood and can be used to promote intolerance and hate of others who are different to orthodox islam, i wish the very best for him and his daughter
@@zak992 Your comment implies that you think revision of Islam is needed. Islam isn't Christianity, which shabir seems to model Islam on. Islam doesn't need a Martin Luther because it was never corrupted and we have preserved the authentic teachings of Prophet Muhammad pbuh.
If you think Islam needs to be revised on the basis of western liberalism and materialism then you are truly lost. Replacing divine guidance with human opinions is the worst trade ever. May Allah guide us all to the truth.
Too much time the camera is on Dr. Saffiya while she's totally silent. What are you trying to do guys?
Never seen Dr. Shabir in difficulty of explaining issues than today.
If we let the Quran Speak, Then
Surah 3:151 speaks loud, Surah 2:191 speaks louder and
Surah 9:5 speaks loudest.
It's the word of God. God has no timelines or seasons so that we start putting his word into context, that the word was for the people of that time, if we do that, we will be saying. The Quran does not apply to our times then.
**Massacre of Banu Qurayza**
Attack against the Banu Qurayza people.
600-800 young and old men were beheaded under the supervision of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) how do we separate him from such acts.
Surah 9:4
As for the polytheists who have honoured every term of their treaty with you and have not supported an enemy against you, honour your treaty with them until the end of its term. Surely Allah loves those who are mindful ˹of Him˺.

Yes. Indeed. This is a disingenuous channel. It should be called "Let Shabir Ali Speak on Behalf of Allah". They do not let the Quran speak at all.
“You don’t annex territories without violent means”. That’s true. But the myth of Islamic expansion is that people became Muslims not by the sword, but by the “beauty “ of Islam.
Both can’t be true of course.
I agree.
Problem is not in Quran
It is the way IMAMS interpret it.

I think that the destiny of Hadits is the same as the Gospel. They are jumble between true and false.
There is no compulsion in religion, so why did the hadith contradict Allah?
Because there is no context around why the prophet pbuh said this hadith, was this at a time of war, was he faced with a grave threat and he is replying to that threat, a bit like winston churchill speech about fighting the german on the beaches, was churchill gona fight the germans if they invaded england or was he gona fight germans wherever they are and for all times, same analogy
Because the Quran contradicts itself about being peaceful. Don't forget the authorzed use of force against non-believers for the purpose of extorting money - 9:28-29.
@@charlesmuhmanson3928 Why are you Christians hypocrites? You cherish the violence of your books and condem it in others.
@@mohamedsheikhmohamed5411 I condemn all unnecessary violence.
Except for self-defense, only God can ordain judgement. Man does not have the right to impose his will upon another.
The violence of the Bible was about a particular time and place during a tumultuous period of existence. God gave a standard of peace in the New Testament.
The problem with Islam is the open-ended right you imagine your god allah gave from the mouth of your false prophet Muhammad.
Dr Shabir, it would be nice if you invite Muslims who follow the Quran alone on your show to give their perspective.

You're conflating two things, when he returns, he's not returning as a Prophet, Muhammad (S.A.W.) was the final one, he's going to come as a just ruler, pray behind Imam Mahdi, then face the Dajaal (Anti-Christ) who will run from him and Isa (Jesus) will kill him. Then begins the event of him ruling, marrying, then ultimately passing away.
Apparently Ali never took part in the Islamic expansion
Ali Ra took Kheybar by force. The strong Jewish fortification in Medina. Kheybar has been Islamic territory since.
Also during his reign he had internal conflicts to deal with that explain why he didn't have prolific conquests. There's some reports that he did make some advancement in the region of Khorasan.

it is peaceful read it in the context of what was happening to the muslim community at the time, if you gona comment do you research well

@@peterhwang352 Have you really read the old testament? Why are you concerned about peaceful verses?
@@peterhwang352 Actually just the previous verse and next verse of 9:5 is enough to understand the context. in 9:4 it is clearly said these verses do not apply to those polytheist who adhered by the treaty. If you read the Qur'an you'd know that the Muslims were commanded to fight despite Allah SWT knowing they hated it. The results of their obedience to God is that they established an empire spanning a quarter of the old world in 20 years only.

You are not the expert in Hadith.
Only the narrators know the truth.
Hadiths are fabrications that were designed to keep Muslims from reading, studying and following the Quran.
He is using circular reasoning. The Quran conveys both views of allah. But Shabir only wants to see the lovey-dovey version of Islam because it comports with his preconception of allah and Muhammad. SMH.

Why all the terrorist organizations are from the sunni sects? Could you answer this question please?
What do you mean. There are multiple other terrorist, one thing they have in common, they are muslim.
Sunnis are not believers, they do not represent Islam.
Thank you for you thought, but in fairness I must share that not All terrorist activity is carried on by "muslims" but rather by individuals who are identified as, or identify themselves as Muslims. Tribal warfare in Sudan, for instance is tribal sectarian fighting in which such labels as "sub-saharan", "black", "arab," "Christian" and "Muslim" are freely used for convenience as the actual actors are a complex collection of organized crime, warlords, independent security forces and village populations. The simple fact is that bad actors often hide behind doctrines and beliefs that have been twisted out of original meaning and context to rationalize conduct. FWIW.
