It should not be doing as you are experiencing, i have not heard of any problems in the UK like you are experiencing. I would be returning it and getting a new one under warranty. I hope this helps.

Sadly post brexit we no longer post overseas due to products getting stuck in customs when customers have not wanted to pay the import duty. I hope you understand.
Hi. Just watched your video. Excellent. I have Question 8, though😂. My 750i is freezing, probably due to lack of free space. I have 3 massive Disc Image Files using almost all the free space. I do not know what each is. Can i move them to an SD card? Are they necessary?
Hi using Garmin Express software on a computer you have the map manager option and it will show my maps that are on internal storge and memory card, you can untick the topo maps on my maps and then tick them for the memory card and transfer them this way, it can take a few hours to transfer, make sure your computer power settings are not set to put the computer to sleep when doing this, Kind regards GPS Training

Sadly I am not aware of any mounts for the Montana 700 series to mount it on your Fore Arm, if you do find something please do share it with us.
Would you recommend this device for atv usage? Is it still worth the investment knowing it’s almost a 5 year old device?
Garmin very much push it as a product that can be used on ATV's. I have not personally tried it though.

Sadly not, it is a different mount as the Montana 700 series are larger GPS units

How is the screen in blinding sunlight? I realize you don't get that so much in the UK.
Garmin screens look their best on bright days, Garmin suffer regarding the screens in duller weather.
