It's time to check out the Eridian Overhaul mod made by Sleep Master and Tha Campin' Dutchman! This won't really be a challenge run, but instead it is more about showcasing the cool mod. I hope you all enjoy it

This Playthrough will be fun and exciting!
Shep Sanders actually plays quite a pivotal role in the lore.
Sanders sold out New Haven's location to Hyperion, resulting in the town's destruction by Handsome Jack's forces. In revenge for this act, Brick gouged Shep's eyes out and cracked his skull open, leading to Brick being banished from Sanctuary for his violence.

I liked the concept of the eridian weapons in borderlands its nice to see this mod give them new life

@@Joltzdude139 I love how vanilla they feel, it definitely seems a bit op that they all recharge but that fits perfectly as the eridian guns gimmick lol
They are definitely a bit strong compared to vanilla guns which is how Eridians show by powerful but very rare
@@iNSANELYSMART409 Given how in Vanilla they were rare drops they should be strong. Instead they just wound up being Vendor Trash. And it's not like Ammo is an issue after like level 2 so who cares about the Recharge.

Also, what is "you're just something else" supposed to mean? Please don't tell me it's some underhanded attempt at an insult, because simply stating that he plays other games would have been perfectly sufficient.

That's 72 hours of content a year, or three entire days. Extrapolate further to however old the guy's channel is, and you're saying you expect me to watch at least *HALF* of that before I'm allowed to inquire on the dude's personal life?

The void repulser is exactly something you would imagine should be from a eridian weapon. The first time you shoot it you're like
"...what is happening" but in a very minimalistic way because you don't understand how the weapon works (just like the characters in the universe don't know how it works either!)
I love that he just gets more and more creative with the intros, this one is great and one of the best intros yet
I'm not even done the video yet and I've gotta say this is one of the most polished mods ive seen in a hot minute! I haven't even played borderlands 1 and I struggle to see how these things aren't vanilla, they're so cool!!
I would like to see
1. Joltz collecting all the legendaries by the end and showing off each one.
2. Joltz bringing K6 along and seeing how far the Void Repulsor knocks him back.
The lightning grenade has to be the coolest thing I've ever seen

Two BL2 playthroughs, a Pre-Sequel playthrough and now a BL1 playthrough, Joltz has been spoiling us these past months!
I wish I could get as invested into a Borderlands game as I do your playthroughs. I think it's just the extra factor of your game knowledge just adding so much to the run, It's fun to listen to you rattle off trivia or easily identify weapon parts.
This guy is a magician. A titanium solid community and borderlands content that never seems to get old. You my sir are a good man!

this should be a neat series; I've never seen the Eridian weapons being used in BL1. Very excited
I remember playing bl1 on the xbox360 and spending far to long trying to max out my eridian proficiency. The shotgun eridian weapon and the sniper were the only ones I could make work even the slightest bit, but this mod looks like they made the other ones look so much more fun to use. so much more variety too. This might just be the first mod for bl1 that I will try out.
Seeing an almost 30 minute long joltz video makes me so happy, I’m happy to see where this play through goes
Now this is gonna be a series to remember, I’ve always wanted to see more eridian weapons, a cool way I think they could implement them into bl4 or whatever by having them be in pieces and you have to collect all the pieces of the gun to get it. Oh and of course every map has its own eridian gun you can assemble lets say. Just a thought I’ve had for awhile lol.

About Shep: he isn't just a guy who give the missions. In the lore, he was the guy who sold out New Haven to Hyperion, causing Brick to kill him and got kicked out from Sanctuary
Yeah in borderlands 2 but in 1 he’s just a dude that gives a few side missions and no other interesting stuff about him. They just made him feel a bit more character in bl2 lmfao
Tha' Campin' Dutchman makes such cool mods. I'm excited to see what he and Sleep have come up with
so excited for this, BL1 has aged so well IMO and modded just takes it to another level

I always thought the eridian weapons were really cool but I could never work them into my build. It's cool to see them get more attention and be a lot more fleshed-out.

So thing you might not remember, but Shep Sanders is actually the guy who gave up the location of New Haven being where Lilith the Siren is, which lead to the fall of New Haven and the relocation to Sanctuary.
Brick brutally murdered the guy and that's why Brick was exiled to Thousand Cuts.
Shep Sanders is technically relevant!

This was a fun video. I started borderlands years ago with this first one and it is fun to reminisce especially when there is new content with the old.
That's a pretty cool mod, I was always disappointed the following games never touched again on Eridian weapons.

Actually Shep Sanders has quite a bit of history, it's said that Sledge took his family, skinned them while they're still alive, and made tents out of their skins, that's the reason why he helps out taking out Sledge, later when Jack comes to Pandora, he sells (or get torture, we don't know exactly what happened)New Heaven location to Jack, and then Wilhelm destroying New Heaven happens because of him, so Brick gets mad because of that and gouge his eye out, and that results in Roland fighting with Brick and banning him from Sanctuary...

On Joltz’s note on Shep Sanders, he has a small amount of relevance to the story after BL1. In between BL1 and BL2, Shep betrays the BL1 vault hunters and sells out New Haven to Hyperion, this would cause the fall of New Haven. As stated by Nisha herself in BL2, Shep Sanders would be killed by Brick after he learns of Shep’s betrayal. The of killing Shep also led to Brick’s banishment from Sanctuary.
So excited for the rest of the Series!!
